I'm a beginner to model railroads, is it possible to share the basic design without all the scenery? I know you mentioned its a figure 8 but seem much longer? Its really a very clever and beautifully done layout.

Its similar to a track plan - google Cactus valley and it will give you the basic track layout.

The layout is 1.1m wide - taking into account buildings at front and mountain at back it is .9m

Ah, great to know. I noted the width in the title and tried to estimate distances. Thought I would ask in case the actual track widths were the 1.1m. I'm just commencing an N Scale (1.1m wide) layout myself. I'm very impressed with your track plan, scenery and basically everything about it. Being in Qld also, I can relate to the layout. Hey there I’m trying to make a rope light silhouette for Christmas but I can’t figure out what sort of tinsel That I should back it with I have a few shop bought silhouettes and the tinsel on them looks abit like artificial grass could you possibly shed some light on what you use please many thanks mark.

tinsel is made in the factory in China to put with each rope light motif, not the same as what you buy in retail shops - will be hard to match sorry.
