The main reason I love Yu Yu Hakusho and Hiei and Ocarina of Time Link are very similar in certain ways and Ocarina of Time was released on November 21st the same day as Hiei's Birthday, that just makes me think they're brothers

Nobuyuki Hiyama should have played Kuwabara since he's the one who yells a lot, and Nobuyuki Hiyama is known for yelling. Not just as Link, but as Joe Higashi from King of Fighters.

He's an expert at it, supposedly while recording some of his lines for The King of Braves GaoGaiGar:Final he broke 2 microphones and couldn't speak for a week from screaming so well.

I agree Ocarina Of Time was my first Zelda so his voice is iconic to me, once I heard they switched his voice I kinda don’t care anymore about the games lol I just watch on KZbin

So this OVA is trash--but its one interesting/redeeming factor is that gay love literally saves the day XD This dude sacrifices himself in the end, undoing all of his evil demon-summoning plans, because he loves his friend so much. And yet modern MegaTen games are so homophobic ¯\_ (ツ)_/¯

Noboyuki Hiyama is one of my favorite seiyus, i never play Zelda apart for the snes one but i love his voice on Joe Higashi (Fatal Fury/KOF) and Hiei.

Not only did Nobuyuki voice Link for sometime, but Nintendo invited him back to voice a character within Smash Ultimate named Erdrick As a LoZ, Yu Yu Hakusho, & Dragon Quest fan, this is honestly an amazing dream come true

There’s also a part in the Dark Tournament when Hiei is fighting Bui, and he makes literally, and I mean literally, the same grunt Link does.
