I've actually had this exact same conversation with myself in my head multiple times.

This situation is of course ridiculous. In real life they would have an agent who would be negotiating for them. They'd get approved for the pilot, maybe green lit for a few episodes. It gets aired, and if it gets picked up they can renegotiate at that point and for almost every season that the show goes on and becomes more popular. Still funny scene though!

Haha, this joke is even better when you realize that at this point Jason Alexander, Julia Dreyfus and Michael Richards were in heated negotiation with NBC demanding 800k per episode. 😂
