Absolutely it's a dirt magnet, a darker shade will always be preferred, but its also about the visibility during the night, light shades are more easily identifiable for vehicles.

The tyres and brakes don't keep up with the power or weight of the bike, but again this is a budget friendly bike, and it is worth every penny.
