Shalom Deb...My daughter and I visited to your awesome Sapphire Mine from Canada, more than 20 years ago - twice! It was so amazing finding the sapphires & garnets, and visiting with the other Rock Hounds from all over. We were able to camp out on the heather nearby, drink the icy cold water from your creek, and eat the watercress from it! Our times with you at the mine were unforgettable! I pray that you are all safe & healthy and would really love to visit you again! Love and blessings to you!

If you find ash deposites in that shelf , look in and under them . you may find low grade opal as well. I want to be able to afford this experience.

Those stones look more like common (not gemmy) spinel. Most have a dull quality to the color, some have a 'steely' kind of quality to the color reminiscent of some spinel gems. The sapphires I know and collect have a brilliant light return with solid, vibrant color. Even the paler stones are like that. These may be corundum but they don't look much like gem quality sapphire.

This is a Great Video. Not only do we get to see people finding great gems but the music is really good too. Something that is almost unheard of throughout the "tubes" !

Great stuff. I had found a 5 carat pillow a few years back. I still order them from this place from time to time to the dismay of my local USPS guys :) Last bag I got 2 years ago had a LOT of hematite and at least 2 2.5 carats that I should get them cut. While other ones I had had seed pods fossils and even garnet

@@hdj81Vlimited hahaha no this stuf gravel bucket for find gem or gold is just for make play some fat guy in is backyard.. no one sell you something whit inside more value of the price you pay for it... if you want you can buy online rough montana sapphire 5 carat (5 stone)for 26 $ + ad cost of mailbox.. if you whant have a real fun go on a river in the nature and take some gravel or sand and wash, if you don't care about the size you find many littel gem, for sure some sand size but is fun and you don't pay and you can retur at home whit all the gravel you whant.. plus you have a nice time in the wild.. this stuf is good if your grandfather can't move and in the past he enjoy prospecting, in that case is good for have a nice time whit him but if you whant make money don't try this tipe of item.. you make rich only the owner of the mine.. (they sell bag for 150-120-95$ usd).. is a smart move of the owner to make money whit a exaust mine big hug

Jewels are the oyster's ice skates, but the real treasure is EVERYTHING you find. No two pans of slumbering river rock wrested from lush stream beds, deep-sculpted river bottoms and ancient tributaries once upon a sauropod footprint are alike, and the splendor and mystery theretofore measured by the handful makes heroes out of rock hounds, for these meticulous dreamers are the first, last and only gardeners of nature's most delicate, exotic and otherwise-forever-unsampled fruit. Perhaps the greatest riddle is not how no two stones plucked from the same nest are alike, but why. The answer must surely be metaphysical; particles CHOOSE.
