Yeah i agree the bacon is well not what anyone calls proper cooked bacon lol always been the same! I did used to love the fries but they just don't seem the same as they used to. maybe different oil or how long they're cooked for has changed. BK fries i do like and five guys.

Ha yeah i saw somewhere they noted the future aspect being the waffle bread wrap, so i thought i'd use it in the title. However yes i agree that these are a common kebab in germany and GDK is spinning for marketing purposes i guess, to draw the uk crowd in. If this channel ever gets to the point i can monetise then trips may well be on the cards, but for now its more the delivered takeaways im focusing on. @MrDeliveredFoodReviews No, I have no reason to be offended. I just wanted to mention that this style of döner isn't just a product of this chain in case you were missing out. I really do recommend Checkpoint and Tavuuk's in London though. I think the waffle pattern toaster is a GDK thing to be fair. Most döner shops in Germany use the same type of bread, but their toasters don't have a specific pattern.

@YO-BIZZY Maybe you can recommend a good one where you live. I know there are exceptions and I don't say these things lightly because I love Turkish food but I've genuinely not had much luck with UK style döner and I have to go well out of my neighbourhood to find halfway decent ones. Turkish restaurants in the UK are good, but rarely so for the döner takeaways. It's never veal döner in UK kebab shops. It seems to be lamb every time and always 100% mincemeat from a factory instead of being slices of marinated meat stacked between layers of seasoned mincemeat. It's floppy, oily, greasy, never crispy and it tastes of nothing. The chicken döner is usually better but even that often has no flavour unless you know the right shop. The smell when you step into the shop isn't the way it's supposed to be and they often don't even have a glass counter to let you see the salad. I want to pick the onion sumac salad, çoban salad, red cabbage, carrot, feta, cacık and acılı ezme but they only ever have iceberg lettuce, sliced tomatoes and garlic mayo from the supermarket. They don't even have ramazan pidesi flatbread to serve it in so you have to get that seperately from a Turkish shop and build it together yourself which is inconvenient if you were planning to eat it in the park opposite the shop with your friends. They almost never have the option to serve it in lahmacun. It's marketed towards drunk people on their way home from a night out and it's considered one of the least healthy fastfood options in the UK, while in Germany, döner is considered one of the healthier fastfood options and families will eat it for lunch as much as they eat it at night and it outsells the cheeseburger. I don't know how it compares in east London these days but here on the south coast of England, my town has about 25 kebab shops and only 1 or 2 good(ish) ones. Anyone who's lived in Germany is used to having numerous good ones round the corner. Apparently Harringey Green Lanes is the only place like that in the UK.

yeah the pink picked onion chutney i didn't have, but also not sure that it's 'christmas' themed and they also aren't highlighting them as such, although i could be wrong.

Yes and no, if something on food i don't like, but left it on it would ruin the rest of the item and then an unfair review which is why i say if ive removed something. But ill consider the point going forward, thanks
