Thank you so much for this, I’ve thoroughly enjoyed making my first sweet pea. Your teaching method is lovely and relaxing. I’ve made many bags over the years and the turn out through the pocket is a game changer. Thanks 😊🎉

im confused, where does the fusible fleece go?
@bluecallapatterns
@bluecallapatterns 2 күн бұрын
@@NewmanGroup-ud1rb on the tab closure piece (one of them). You can use either fusible fleece or decovil to both pouch body exterior pieces and two pouch body lining pieces that will have the mesh pockets sewn on. This is step 2 in the written instructions.

You made a Clematis pattern for Cork fabric. What is the difference between that and the original? The both look, and measure the same? Also, if you don't want to use the bottom piece with darts, can the wristlet be made from the lining pattern? Thx!
@bluecallapatterns

@@ilaallen190 the cork version of the old one is similar to this one. Only interfacing changes since you can’t fuse to cork. Yes, you can use the lining piece.

If i use quilt cotton with SF 101 for the lining, I would skip the fusible fleece, right? I’m using cork for the rest of the bag.

I’m still confused on where exactly you lineup the top of the gusset piece on the lining. Do you go below the seam. I can’t really tell from the video or the directions. It does look like you open up the seam when attaching it.

It’s personal preference really! I didn’t in the one sample I’ve shown in the video and it was fine. I just did the firm interfacing in the bottom. If you want the gusset a bit more structured then you can add something to it.

@bluecallapatterns

@@pamelahall3699 as long as they aren’t stiff, you should be fine. This can be difficult to know if you’re ordering online. I use a 10 ounce waxed canvas and it gets really soft with use. That being said, if you don’t think you’ll carry the bag by the handles very much, you could use them without issues.

Can you use cork instead of cotton for exterior fabric 1
@bluecallapatterns
@bluecallapatterns 2 ай бұрын
@@SherryMarleau yes you can. Just omit any fusible interfacing. Something you can glue on or use as a sew in interfacing would be better.
