Wipeout 64 was underrated. It was really cool playing with the stick. I didn’t really like the one on PS2 and I stopped keeping up with the series after that.

wipeout omega was fantastic on ps4 pro, it has always been one of my favorite games, its what got me into games. and i am gutted that there will be no more and sony dumped them. people have tryed many times to copy it but have failed big time in the smooth gameplay. i am hopeing one day they can make a anti grav raceing game that is as good as wipeout was. it takes time to get the hang of it but when you do its worth it.

nice but theres a couple missing, wipeout 3 special edition (includes tracks and teams from the first 2 games but with modern ships) and wipeout hd fury on ps3.

Wipeout 2048 was, in my honest opinion, the best Wipeout game. When they ported it to the omega collection, that was probably the best version of it. Wipeout is such an underrated franchise.

Same. It felt the most balanced and polished as a release. It made it feel like weapons took skill to use because there was actually alot of space to maneuver but also gave enough room for you to really get great at the game. I've liked WipEout since I first played the first PS one and 64. But I always found the learning curve very extreme. 2048 really made it possible for everyone but on higher levels it still felt like a hard game. Also the aesthetic was refreshing after all of them after fusion looked very similar

❤ I was the Producer on 2048, most amazing team I've worked with (I'd worked with most of them for 20yrs!) Started out as a port of the previous PSP games to Vita. When Sony management saw what we'd done with 2 programmers and an artist, for a few hundred £k, they gave us a budget for a full new game. When they shut the studio, we had all WipEout games running cross platform multiplayer and also a PS4 prototype of a new WipEout (PS4 wasn't out at the time)...omg it was amazing. Sadly none of our later work saw the light of day (although I have a demo of the newer WipEout).

The ridiculous thing is, the internal team had already "ported" HD, Fury and 2048 to PS3, PS4 & PC as part of our cross-play trials! The ported versions were all on the Liverpool servers yet xdev paid externals to duplicate our work...Creative Beans and CVS couldn't even get the animated billboards from 2048 to work on the PS4! 🙄

@@martinharrow3314 ugh. It's such a shame. The closest thing I have to a PC version of 2048 is emulation. It works. It's not perfect but, it works. There's apparently a 60fps mod for 2048. I've yet to try it.

The PS1 trilogy didn't age well at all, and people should take off their nostalgia goggles. This coming from a guy who grew up playing the PS1 games.
