creo que no es lo que intentó transmitir. Me da la impresión de que les quería hacer ver a sus alumnos que aprovecharan su vida al máximo e hicieran con ella algo extraordinario. Vi esta película cuando apenas era un adolescente y ya en aquel entonces causó un impacto profundo en como afrontaba cada cosa que hacia. Sin embargo creo que el mensaje llega fuerte en la edad madura, luego de que hemos visto partir a algunos amigos, padres y abuelos. Cuando el ocaso se acerca es cuando más lamentamos lo que no hicimos en nuestra juventud y cuando mas valoramos todo lo que hacemos y a los que nos rodean.

El colegio donde enseñaba el profesor Keating se jactaba de formar alumnos ejemplares, verdaderos profesionales; sin embargo, esto tenía un gran costo, quitarles su pensamiento critico y apaciguar su efusividad rebelde en lugar de redirigirla en algo constructivo. Cuando Keating dice "Carpe Diem" (en mi opinión) no se refiere a que vivan una vida bohemia y sin consecuencias; habla de que utilicen su potencial de forma independiente para que, según sus palabras, alcancen su potencial.

This should have been the performance we saw. I hate that they had to cut so many of the better performances because of time constraints.

@@ronan1686 I don't know to what performance you refer. This particular one isn't the exact one we saw on the show. In this version, each part, and individual solo is clearly heard. The one shown on TV- not as clearly as this. I realize it's probably because one was recorded live on stage, and the other, probably in a recording studio with better mics.
