Are we allowed to listen to the khutbah within a mosque of innovation before the jumuah prayer? They say theyre upon the sunnah but some of the people that they have referred to as being people of knowledge are in actual fact people of innovation such as the deobandi sect etc

Note that combining prayer does *not* mean praying 1 time and count it as 2. It means that you can do 2 prayers in succession, without waiting for the 2nd-prayer's time (with condition explained by the Shaykh)

Subhanallah today the issue is so bad that Muslim women wear makeup and then give Islamic reminders. It boggles the mind sometimes. Actually many times these Muslim women are far more attractive then the Kaafirat, because ig Muslim women are used to put as much makeup on their face as they don’t show their hair. While the Kuffar don’t have to put as much makeup because of the rest of their body.

This is such a genuine and practical peace of advice. There are so many men who refrain from providing for their families and some can't because of illness. Its bes for women to stay at their homes but life is not the same for everyone. I hope those people who judge women for stepping out, even for just and genuine purposes get to reflect upon this.

Shaykh Saalih ibn ‘Abdil-‘Azeez Aal ash-Shaykh states: One of the things that clearly falls under the category of horoscopes in this era, although people are heedless of it, is what is often found in magazines and known as star signs. Publishers allocate a page or so in their publications for the star signs of the year, such as the lion (Leo), the scorpion (Scorpio), the bull (Taurus), etc. Alongside each star sign is information regarding its future. They claim that if an individual is born on a day that coincides with a particular star sign, then such and such will happen to them this month. This is horoscopes, which are defined as the effect of the constellations, i.e., using the zodiac as evidence for causation on earth and to determine what will take place on earth. This is a form of fortune-telling, and its presence in magazines and newspapers in this format is due to the fortune-tellers. This must be warned against, as is the case with warning against polytheism and claiming to know the unseen, practicing sorcery, and horoscopes, because horoscopes are a form of sorcery, as I mentioned previously. It is a must to warn against it in every land. It is also obligatory on every Muslim to not enter this into their home, read it, or acquaint themselves with it because if a Muslim looks at horoscopes and what is in them, even if he is fully aware of what it entails, he has still fallen into a prohibition from the angle of approaching a fortune-teller without rebuking him. Hence, if an individual delves into horoscopes while knowing the star sign in which he was born but says, I'm just going to look at what they say about me or what they say about those born in the month of this star sign, then he is similar to someone who approached a fortune-teller and required. Consequently, his prayer will not be accepted for forty nights. Also, if he were to approach and read the horoscopes while knowing his star sign, this is considered an inquiry, and if he were to believe the fortune-teller, he would have disbelieved in the revelation sent down to Muhammad ﷺ. This shows you just how strange Tawheed is amongst the people who are meant to know it, i.e., the Muslims, and how strange understanding the reality of this book: Kitab at-Tawheed is even amongst those who are of the natural human disposition and those considered adherents of this call, i.e., Tawheed. So this must be warned against in every land, and an individual must not bring sin upon himself or his household by entering such newspapers into the home, because this is the same as introducing a fortune-teller into the home. This, and refuge is sought from Allah, is from the major sins. This practice must be warned against; the material must be torn up, and every effort should be made to accomplish this in order to overcome such people. This is because those involved in horoscopes, astrologers, etc., are considered fortune tellers. There are well-established institutions for horoscopes in Lebanon and other countries wherein people learn about the movements of the constellations and what will take place according to known calculations and specific dates. They say that whoever is of a particular star sign, then such and such will happen to them. This is according to their speculative knowledge, which their leaders and fortune-tellers use to deceive them. So the obligation on the students of knowledge is to exert their efforts in enlightening people about this through lectures or short admonitions after Salaah in Masjid or in the Friday sermons, as it is among the things that have caused tribulations to become widespread. Refutations against it are scarce, warning against it is feeble, and Allah's aid is sought.

Kashf ash-Shubuhat (if it is easy for him to understand/memorize) - by Muhammad ibn Abdul-Wahhab RAH It is very important to study Aqeedah and have deep understanding of the subject especially living in the west at a time of great fitna. Have deep understanding with regards to Tawhid of Worship and Rulership Kitaab at-Tawhid (The Book of Tawhid) focuses on al-Uloohiyyah - by Muhammad ibn Abdul-Wahhab RAH This is a very beneficial book, it is full of ayahs from the Quran, authentic hadith, and narrations from the Salaf. Al-Wasatiyah - by Sheikh al-Islam ibn Taymiyyah RAH This book is for those who have great desires for knowledge about Aqidah This book focuses on Tawid Asma-wa-Siffat (Names and Attributes of Allah) Majmu Fatawa of Ibn Taymiyyah - by Sheikh al-Islam ibn Taymiyyah RAH There contains many important principles and scenarios that are essential for a Talib-e-ilm to study. Sharh (explanation) at-Tahawiyah Great for expanding and understanding the subject of Allah’s Names and Attributes. The author of this book uses a lot of reference from the books of Shaykh al-Islam ibn Taymiyyah and his student Ibn al-Qayyim, as well as the books of Ibn Kathir. This makes the book comprehensive and beneficial. For Tafsir: Tafsir As-Sa’dee - by Sheikh Abdur-Rahman as-Sa’dee It is a concise yet beneficial book and the Scholar is contemporary so it is easier to understand and his manhaj was well known as being Salafi. Fat’h al-Qadir - by Imam Ash-Shawkani Only study this book if you are GROUNDED in the Arabic language and finds a teacher that is a SALAFI Muffasir (scholar of tafsir). This book has some misinterpretations (Ta’weel) of Allah’s Names and Attributes Tafsir ibn Kathir - by Imam ibn Kathir This is one of the longest but most authentic (and well known) books of Tafsir. It is okay to study only a part of it or a summary of this Tafsir because of its length. Studying al-Uloom at-Tafsir (The Sciences of Tafsir) which include: Tajweed The technique of Qiraat (recitation) Subjects of the Arabic Language (Nahnu, Sarf, Balagha,etc) For Hadith: Start with Forty Hadith of an-Nawawi - by Imam an-Nawawi Umdatul Ahkam - Book of Hadith as well as Fiqh Bulugh al-Maram Book of Hadith as well as Fiqh For Fiqh: One can start with and use the previous books: Umdatul Ahkam and Bulugh al-Maram (this is the fiqh of the Sunnah) Use some of the books of Imam ash-Shawkani If one wants to be a true Talib-e-Ilm, he should not limit himself to learning Fiqh from one Maddhabb, but should learn about the Fiqh from all Maddhabbs.
