....just bought one in the UK on .223 Rem, with the newer fully adjustable stock. One key point is the stock bolt tension; torque the front 2 in 5 in/lbs steps from 20 to 30, rear last. Then the front trigger guard bolt from 5 inch/lbs to the sweet spot for your preferred ammo reload...

15 thou jammed? Could you explain that please?

He has loaded the bullets longer (further out of the case) than a factory one would be loaded, so far that it is already pushed 15 thousandths of an inch into the lands of the barrel when it is loaded.

Hi Mark, finally after year and a half waiting time i got my Savage 12 F-Class 6mm BR Norma rifle. Sadly i had to send it back to Savage the action had inside a heavy machining scratches.When i put the bolt in it was making a grinding sound.Yours is silent in the video.They took it back to change the action.

GREGUSJ HI Greg, I'm sure savage will "fix" the action issue. It should be smooth, both opening and closing of the action. When you get it back, work up your loads and let me know how it shoots. Good luck!

Mark, good video. I recently purchased one of the Savage in 6mm BR. Excellent choice. Would you give it information on your front rest. Some I've looked at are way to expensive imo. Thanks.

Hello Robert, You are right. They are expensive, the one in the video is a J&J industries. Its a work of art pure and simple. All the threaded surfaces are ground not cut, it tracks true and is very precise. Its a good investment. Farley & SEB are the most popular, The Bald Eagle rest is a good deal at Bullets.com right now, I have one... for the $ its o.k. but again, you get what you pay for. If you are serious about f-class or bench shooting you'll eventually spend a good bit on a quality rest, its just a matter of when. Regards,

Great video Mark. It looks like you have the F-Class model with the single port, 30" barrel, and flat base buttstock. You are right about being very good entry rifles, I've had my Model 12 for about a year and have been fairly consistent 580's at 500 yd F-Class matches. I did replace the barrel with a match grade Krieger and have seen significant improvements. There is nothing about this rifle I don't love.

Good video, considering this gun. What is the barrel contour? What is the diameter at the muzzle? Thanks in advance.

I purchased the same gun(6BR Norma) and scope(NF) and i would like to ask you what hight are your rings? Medium or high I'm debating which one to order.I would appreciate your help.Thanks
@markroth926110 жыл бұрын
HI Greg, I'm sure you have your rings by now, I would say "high", doubt medium wiuld work due to the contour of the barrel. Regards, Mark

Is that the "F Class" model? It's on my short list of next rifles. Plan on using it for long range varminting mostly. Have you shot any of the smaller bullets? Say 55-87 grain?
@markroth926110 жыл бұрын
Only have shoot berger 105's. Use 68-90 in my 243. The model is 12 "F-class" has a 30" barrell, single shot, right bolt right eject.
