I got a truck when I turned 16 in1971, my parents thought I was Rodeoing on Friday and Saturday night. Every Saturday I ditched the Rodeo and drove that beat up truck down to "Ma" Blues before they moved to the big house on Lemmon ave. In 1971 Texas, 16 was as good as 18 as long as you didn't act a fool. I would sit at the end of the bar, so that when Dallas PD would walk in I could get up grab a trash can from behind the bar walk out the back door and go into Gerties across the ally. Ma Blues was The Place to hang, and Ray did a great job painting a picture with words of what it was like. I spent many hours of my youth in side Mother Blues and loved every one. Thanks for the tune Ray.
