Great wisdom from Rory. Good to hear that he is taking a higher stance and considering this situation on a way less emotional level.

He was seen berating people in the Raleigh, North Carolina area last month, including his fiance. She had enough, called off the engagement, and went back to California. Grayson starting drinking again, and without the warm body of a female (she is hot...would suck the pherts out of her bummy after buying her a bean burrito), he was left to be alone in his hotel room drinking, and also being forced to Jack Hoff. Very lonely. Throw in a few bogeys and it became hopeless. Imagine having to Jack Hoff instead of having hot woman in bed? And then all of those bogeys? He walked off the course and ended it. Truth be told, his finance dodged a bullet by leaving him. She was destined for misery dealing with poor Grayson. He looks like a redneck, so it is not like he was going to get another hottie. The PGA tour is not like the LPGA (muffin divers), so unless dear Grayson swung both ways, he was going to have to meet up with Jack Hoff. Contrast theory explains it. Hottie to Jack...must have been tough to deal with. Throw in the booze addiction, and there was only one way out, and he took it.

I hear ya...but we did ask about strategy on hole 12, and hole 15.... no way we could have known it would come down to that specific one, you know?:)
@staffan.eriksson50612 ай бұрын
@@garrettjohnstononfantasygo5049 Well, 11 is a classic hole, where a lot of mistakes have been done historically. It was a big fault going for the pin there. A beginners mistake. The caddie should have adviced the youngster to lay up to the right. Yes no 12 is also important to hear how they think. But 15 is less important than 11. Well, I still canT understand why they did`nt try toget a better drop, close to the green. If it had been Mickelson or anyone else, they had been talking to the referee for half an hour, about their options. The youngster have a mind set of" i am only playing for fun, and whatever happens happens, sort of" That is why he need a caddie who know the rules and taking action in these situations. Whatever, it was a good interview. Thank you

I had the pleasure of meeting Ernie Els in Orlando at the (Was then) The Cricketer's Pub on International Drive, in 2002. He came to watch RSA Rugby play then too. I met him outside the pub but then he came into the bar where I was stood and spent about an hour with him. I can tell you it was absolutely awesome. He was good enough to give some theoretical advice to gain more club head speed with my driver and it worked. Ernie back then helped me get my CHS upto 114mph, recorded. I am forever thankful to him for that and still am. What an absolute awesome person he is.

The weird thing about Rory at the present time is that he is in peak physical condition, virtually the same as Tiger was at his prime, and yet he hasn’t managed to win a major championship in almost 10 years, to the day. He was far more impressive when he was chubby, less experienced and physically not as strong. Nowadays, he cannot seem to put four good rounds together, and I believe his caddie, Harry Diamond is average at best, and the very top players have always had a top class bagman! Think of Tiger and Steve Williams, Phil and Jim Mackay, Ernie and Ricci Roberts, and currently Scottie and Ted Scott.

He came very close 2022 Open and 2023 US Open. If not for Cam Smith putting out of his mind final round 2022 he likely takes that one, and clark just played one stroke better last year. I do think hell get another, but so much of it is mental now as he routinely misses a key putt under 4’ in the final round when close.

OLD SAYING IN GOLF: TEE FOR SHOW, PUT FOR MONEY/WIN! Which is why Tiger was better than the rest cos he putted accurately and won even after bad or average tees! There lies the difference between Tiger (miles better) and Ernie!!

Arguably the most impressive golf swing of all time, he always maintained a good relationship with Tiger. Erne Els in my view has been the most consistently respectful to all golf fans and players worldwide. If anyone deserves to be at The Masters table it's him, but all other major wins confirms his legendary status beyond any doubt.

Ernie has had a great career, but based on his incredible ability and talent, he should have won at least 8-10 major championships, as well as completed the Grand Slam. Tiger is obviously one of the reasons that Ernie never won more, but I still believe he failed to close out the deal in many big tournaments!
