Class 20s have a special sound don't they. Superb.
@wooltmanАй бұрын
They sound great Ian, the 7 1/4 class 20 sound system is spot on as well. Funny how we now look on diesel loco's as having a nice sound. When they first came in they just had a noise as we all liked steam. 37's 40's and 55 Deltics also have a nice noise/sound. Best wishes Chris

Another beautiful railway. I really appreciate the esthetics of using rail profiled rails, wooden sleepers, and proper balast over square rail profiles, plastic or metal sleepers, and a bit of gravel. It just completes picture of the beautiful rolling stock in a very pleasant way.
@wooltmanАй бұрын
You cannot beat the real thing although in miniature. Plastic sleepers seems the way to go for longer life, plus less work repairing the sleepers/track. Even the mainline has gone down this route many years ago with concrete now metal. Many thanks for your comments. Regards Chris.

Well done Chris ..i wondered last year if you had given up with the Fuchias
@wooltmanАй бұрын
I had retired from the National shows (just to give them a chance lol!) Did a couple of club shows then sold everything and retired for another two seasons. Rosie said I was a grumpy old man, get some more Fuchsias, so last July I did. Just to keep my hand in though. I took just two plants with me this weekend, one 1st and a none placed. Just a bit of fun this time. But watch this space Dave lol!.....Best wishes Chris

The only locomotives that are banned from running on the mainline in preservation are the 9Fs and the Austerity 2-10-0s. This is because of the length of their wheelbase which is 2-10-0.

Many thanks for your comment, sorry I'm a little late in replying. It's a shame these lovely engines are not seen more often.
