I'd respectfully disagree. I think that sure, competitively it's dead for those who are focused solely on abusing the meta. You're rarely going to find a Raiden not using Kano, or an Ashrah not using Sareena etc. But the system itself definitely encourages creativity and exploration. I find Quan to be one of the best characters for that now with how good his set-play has become after all of his adjustments.

it doesnt work like that if he enforces it correctly. if he does it raw you can use a myriad of tactics to get out but if he jails into it properly you are forced to take the 50/50. you cant just jump away

Oh 100% lol In higher level matches I'll still go for command grabs against players that can tech it if I'd like to side switch. Either they duck and I die, they take the throw or I get away from the wall. I find the risk reward to be more in my favor that way, and conditioning them to duck the throw so they'll hold my mids is pretty solid!

so that kick is whats called a 'power crush' essentially it gains armor and will ignore mids and highs until it finishes its animation you can use it to steal turns in this game and if someone wont stop pressing buttons that dont beat it... 🤷‍♂️ lol

im not a giant smash player, but yes and no it will ignore highs and mids, not lows or throws, and you still take damage but if you power through successfully you get to steal a turn and get knockdown i wouldnt normally recommend spamming it like this lmao@@yumnugget
