I read these comments and my heart breaks. I don't think I have ever listened to someone and immediately wanted to talk with them, spend time with them, get to know them. I feel like he is baring his soul every time he plays, every time he writes, and I want to know him more. Thank god his music lives on here on the tube.

Frankly, I did not enjoy this music at all, it is a chaotic noise, how can a musician body compose such a composition? For example, what should this music tell me? How should I feel while listening? A man could insert a straw into the eye of a needle from 10 meters away with one shot. He came to the presence of the sultan and performed this demonstration. The Sultan said, "I give you 10 coins of gold, and I also punish you with 100 sticks." said. The man did not understand the punishment of 100 lashes, and the sultan said, "I gave you 10 gold coins for doing such a talented job, and 100 lashes for doing such an unnecessary and useless job." This is the first Kapustin piece that I hear and I can say that it’s wonderful. Combine Classic and Jazz like one of my favourite composer, which is Gershwin. Surely after finishing learning Pathetique Sonata, I will try an intermediate level piece by him

Incredible big band with a smokin' piano solo, to boot! What were all these people doing having so much fun in the middle of the Cold War era Soviet Union? Shouldn't this have been banned with all the musicians sent to the gulag for ten years' hard labor?

Great to be back, listening to Mr Kapustin! I was so saddened to be informed of his sudden passing during the pandemic. Composer's own version is always the best. May Perpetual light shine upon Mr Nikolai Kapustin. May his Soul rest in peace. Perry ♥️🙏
