Love what you're doing... this is great. the only way I get to watch from the Philippines. If there could be some way to get the picture clear that would be awesome. Keep doing what you're doing love it. Thank you for your work.

I've always enjoyed Team Roping events at Rodeos. You really can't appreciate the sport/skill until you actually try it. This really is the "gold standard of roping". They make it look so easy.

I used to watch the Timed Event Championship of The World, at this arena, back in the 80's and 90's. When it was held in either March or April? Can anyone tell me if Ed Gaylord 11 is still alive? He was helping his father back then, run the family newspaper business, in Oklahoma City. And the story is, he wanted to get a real big arena built in the area, so that People from all over could have fun watching all the famous roper's and the up amd comers, too. Guys like Paul Tierney of Rapid City, S.D. more than once roped at this very famous arena. I wonder idf Paul Tierney is still alive? Roy Cooper, the super looper, did his share of roping here, too. I realize his 3 sons carry on the tradition. You kniow, folks, Bob Tallman had mentioned at the 1986 NFR, that Roy Cooper had achieved 12 year end championships in calf roping. That's a feat that has not thus far been matched by anyone, in the timed events. And I realize there are alot of ropers out there. The Pacific Northwest is more about the roughstock events. I really like a certain comment that Bob Tallman made at the 86' NFR was about all the rpers, at the time, that if you didn't come from Texas, w/a tall crowened hat and a high pair of high heeled boots on, you weren't going to get to be the champion. Well, Oklahoma, Texas, New Mexico, and Arizona, we love you, for sure. But the PRCA has rearranged things some. Ok, so I got carried away, but I could talk about Professional Rodeo all day and into the niight.

I went to the steer roping finals there in the late 80’s. They only used half the arena.

Can someone explain the poison round vs the Muley round
@smn073 жыл бұрын
Poison is considered cattle tougher to rope because they might have bad habits like ducking their head, dragging, setting up, pulling legs, inconsistent etc. Muley's have no horns. So, only legal head catch is around the neck.
