Only live service games I think have done their shit well is Valve type stuff like Dota and TF2 and actual live service dependent game ideas like helldivers 2

@@tibby7709 Helldivers 2 is the gold standard in which any live service game should try to be. The way in which they handle the narrative and the whole atmosphere in that game is legendary. Sony almost fucked it but that type of game is too good to be kept down.

They make a point about the in-game company hiring PMCs to be the NPCs in the game so it is supposed to have that but it just be in the battle royale mode that hasn’t come out yet because I have yet to encounter said PMC NPCs lol.

I remember trying this game and after 3 games I completely stop playing i will amit I know i didn't give it enough time but I lost interest after 3 games which is a major issue

@@maxrosefoxanime7225 that’s the thing though with these types of games is that this repetitive style of gameplay with no feeling of progression will result in that happening. I felt the same way, I kept playing but I still felt unsatisfied.

Thanks brother! Yeah I’ve been trying to make this new microphone work (yes ironically this is supposed to be a newer mic) but its quality isn’t close to what I had before. Switched from an old blue snowball to the Quadcast and it sounds worse for some reason. I’m also not sure if it’s audacity / laptop’s fault but we’ll see.

They should’ve have get rid of all multiverse stuff and go back to all tournament stuff and make it all dark with red, blue, purple, and grey stuff, make it the real mortal kombat, this story expansion should be part 1, and next story expansion should be Part 2

I think my biggest issue with Khaos Reigns as a DLC is its misuse of Noob Saibot. Instead of diving deeper into the Shirai Ryu and Lin Kuei conflict and giving it more depth, it felt like a missed opportunity. While it’s great that we get to play as Noob Saibot, I was really hoping he’d be saved for a sequel. We still haven’t had a real Mortal Kombat tournament, and there’s so much potential for storytelling around Sub-Zero, the Cyber Initiative, and their dynamics. I actually didn’t mind the gender swap; what surprised me more (and I thought might be more controversial) was how the cybernetics were presented as suits rather than full-body replacements. I thought that was a neat idea because it gave me hope that Cyrax and Sektor could have more personal motivations. I was also hoping for a proper Outworld tournament, something teased in Shang Tsung’s ending. But when I saw the scene where Cyrax learns Sub-Zero was lying, I couldn’t help but think, ‘Already?’ It felt rushed and like it didn’t live up to the buildup it deserved.

Hey! Thanks for your comment! The way they handled the conflict of the two clans this go around was very light and surface level. Like “ah well people already know this” but then proceeded to explain or try to be vague other shit people already know. Very strange writing. I mean technically we had that mortal Kombat tournament in the base-game but that was a kid-gloves version and doesn’t have nearly the same weight. I am in agreement with your assessment on Cyrax and Sektor, I like their suits and the designs for the most part. I too mostly just like how it’s a suit and not a full cyborg body, it’s different but I hope something happens with a cyber initiative. I could see that Sektor just got busy while being acting grandmaster and built an obedient cyborg in the wake of what happened here. Thanks again for your comment! When this dropped I was so hopeful and excited as Havik is a long time favorite of mine. The price was ridiculous especially given that it’s so short. It could have been great…but I was very disappointed.

I was rather disappointed with how they handled Havik as a main villain. I was really interested with them positioning him like that and to see him just get taken care of rather easily was such a letdown.

I skipped this game aside from watching people play and I'm a fighting game guy. I've been playing since street fighter 1 and played everything I could get my hands on, but this is actually not the entry to this series we as a fan base wanted. Kameos were not ok it seemed lazy almost like they didnt want to make full move sets for all the characters it wasnt a good look at all.

I’ve warmed up to the Kameo system a little bit as I could sometimes manage to have it flow with a combo. But I also hope they don’t bring it back for the next game. I hope they listen to the fan base cause it’s clear most people do not like it. They made Kameo fatalities and they are incredibly lazy and unimaginative. Thanks for the comment!

Great video! I agree on some points. For me I overall preferred MK1's plot + expansion to MK11's. I do agree heavily in that the plot here does feel a bit wasted and should've been a bit longer perhaps, for those playing invasions mode, this was basically just one of those seasons but with a cinematic :/ BTW, this time, all tower endings, except the guest characters as usual, are canon. So there's tons of subplots that are going on right after the game ends, hence why Shao's rebellion is briefly brought up. Subscribed when your first MK video hit so I'm glad you're doing more great videos afterwards.

Welcome back! Thanks for coming back! I think in terms of base story, I’ll take MK1 plot over MK11 but I’ll still take aftermath over Khaos Reigns. I’m very pleased to hear that the Tower Endings this go around are canon so that gives me hope for my king Onaga to come back. I’ll be honest, with MK1 I did like only a few tower endings for some of my mains so shockingly reiko was not apart of that haha but this gives me hope. Think MK10 was the last one I did like all the endings. Also thank you for the kind words brother! Happy to have you! I remember being a kid when they added bots to the original black ops and as a kid I thought about trying to record the bot lobbies and passing it off as good gameplay. But even I, at 12 year old thought that “nobody would buy that”. Yet, flash forward to today and that’s exactly what people are doing to make themselves look better 😂

To be completely honest, I forget it’s there. I’m just new to the advanced movement from the last few call of duty’s and also haven’t setup that auto tac sprint feature either. I’ve never really played Warzone and didn’t play a lot of recent call of duty’s besides MW2 (2022) and Black ops 4. I wasn’t intentionally not trying to use it just genuinely forgetting it was there. 35:10 I was half expecting Sax Marine to be standing on top of that Repulsor tank, jamming with no Fs given. Don't feel bad about being new to 40k or the more greybeard lore junkies among us trying to correct you and act like smarty pants at every turn. You have to know that there are 4 major eras of 40k, and I first met it when I was 16 and hunting for 2nd Ed D&D stuff. I'm freakin' 50 now. Everyone has their 'chosen' era. 1. The 90's stuff that was just a sideshow to Fantasy Battle, competing with D&D. Chaos & custom Models was all. Lead models cost an average amount. Marines were only slightly more 'awesome' than guard, Chaos was the focus. Lore was VASTLY different. Lots of forgotten potential like the Sensei that never reappeared. 2. The Coming of Age 00's stuff, or Age of Dan Abnett, major canon settled, still lots of grimdark HUMOR. Orks freakin' ruled. Comic relief. Pewter models cost a mint, and Guard starting becoming punier and smaller in the lore. 3. The post-success 2010+ stuff, where we are now, and the franchise started taking itself too, too seriously. Humor starts dying, like Warcraft, just focus on making Marines bigger. And bigger. But we finally got Mechanicus. Plastic models which started out...not cheap, but cheaper. The Black Library novels sell like hotcakes. Legendary fanfic like If The Emperor Had A Text To Speech Device. 4. Today: The Chad Marine (Primaris) and Primarchs are Back era, where they seem to be still taking them selves too seriously because of their success, GW's lawyers are the deadliest thing in the game, and they are losing the plot even faster. Aaaand naturally, the Spess Muhreens get even BIGGER. So big they couldn't possibly fit through doors and would sink up to their knees in a normal grassy yard. Plastic models that cost as much as Pewter used to, adjusted for inflation. The Heresy novel series is done, most of the good authors have checked out now. Don't get me started on Warhammer Kids fiasco. Halflings (ratlings) and Dwarves (squats) are a distant memory. Orks lost most of their humor, reduced to little more than cannibal Klingons on 'roids. And we never got Space Skaven. Tsk. If you dig up the old Lost and the Damned and Slaves of Darkness realm of darkness source books on PDF, you'll treat yourself to seminal books of the roots before 40k eclipsed Fantasy Battle and get some sense of what got left behind and retcon'd over the years. Old Testament stuff that will gird your loins to argue back at smug old timers.

My experience with other warhammer fans has been generally positive and have been welcomed pretty well even with the minuscule amount of knowledge I have compared to them, I’m sure it shows in the video. I absolutely love the breakdown you gave as well and I find it interesting how just your comment alone makes it clear how expansive and involved the lore of warhammer is. There’s a lot to know and I don’t really see myself getting into tabletop and owning mini’s but the books, games and general pieces of fiction from within the universe have captivated me. Title sums it up perfectly. Loved the game, but there really should have been like twice as much of it - a third more at the very least. Operations mode is neat and all (though I still really resent that they claimed you can play it solo only to then reveal that you can't make any progress in that mode offline - technically true, but doesn't make the original claim any less of a lie), but that campaign has so much good stuff in it that it's a shame it ended so quickly. Still, what a banger of a game! Really hope they change their plans and release some sort of story DLC for it. Oh, I will add that hubris is very much a Tzeentch thing in the lore. While I'll agree that that scene in particular comes across as more comedic than anything, that would definitely be the reasoning behind it.

I honestly wasn’t crazy about operations as it’s the type of game mode I’d rather play with friends than randoms and not many people I know have the game so. I’m hoping the devs can properly recognize the momentum they have and release some content for it just to keep up with the modern gaming attention span. Also thanks for the elaboration on the ending scene there, I was on the fence of if it was silly and undermined what was a decent villain or that it was just a matter of fact that a villain of chaos like Imurah would falter to things he deemed to be incapable of stopping him only for it to be his downfall in the end. Tzeentch and Slaanesh are the chaos gods I know the least about so I appreciate that.

You kinda misunderstood the first part of Bob's mind. His mother wasn't going to the greenhouse to tend to the plants, but to drink in mourning for her husband. @isavg no problem. I enjoy video game analysis videos, so it wasn't hard to get through at all. And it's no problem if you've missed something, as we're all only human, and thus prone to making mistakes. But still, if you think about it, overlooking a single thing over the duration of an entire game, and one as filled to the brim with context as psychonauts, isn't something to be ashamed of.

The level design is easily one of the best parts of the game. There were a few moments like with the early underground pyramid that I would stop at and just look at what’s going on. That level, the second half of the oil fields mission is pretty good. Even the finale is a great level design.
