Adding to my earlier comment, your local Horticulture Society or Seniors Centre would be a good place to promote your services.

Oh man, is there ever a need for a service like yours where I live in southern Ontario. I know so many seniors that love their gardens, but can't care for them anymore. Not to mention the young families that will eventually buy those homes and know nothing about gardening. I wish I was young enough to take on the opportunity, but I'm not. What you're doing is terrific. Do you have trouble finding labour?

If you are lucky enough to live near a botanical garden, often they offer classes that can expand your learning on plant identification, growing requirements, cultivation, design, etc. I took many classes at Tower Hill Botanical Garden in Massachusetts long ago and learned so much. Books, KZbin videos and streaming gardening shows (i.e. Gardener's World, my personal favorite) are chock full of information and ideas. I have a degree in Botany but I've learned the most about actual gardening from these sources.

I wish someone would start your business here. I need everything you talked about ,my back and body just can’t do it anymore. I work in my yard 2-4 hours a day on weekends but would love the help.
@TheGardenGroomerbyKaylaКүн бұрын
I wish I could come to you and help take care of your gardens!! I would recommend starting by posting in your local Facebook groups (maybe even gardening specific pages) or checking out your local Nextdoor app! I often see folks offering yard and garden work on those pages in my area, and you just never know who might have some extra time on their hands and eager to get out into someone's garden!
@chives20192 күн бұрын
New to your channel. Corey from Up North Gardening recommended your KZbin channel. Your business offerings sound fantastic. I don't live in your area but would love to find someone in my Atlanta Georgia area to do the garden edits/installs like you mentioned. Most of the companies I have found just focus on mowing the grass and trimming (butchering) the shrubs. Any suggestions for how to find a company like yours in my area. Thanks
@TheGardenGroomerbyKaylaКүн бұрын
I agree - same with our area. We have lots of lawncare and landscaping companies, but not a lot of garden specific companies (although new companies have been popping up left and right since we opened our doors 7 years ago!). I would check out some local gardening groups and community pages, as well as the Nextdoor app. You never know what gardeners you may find in your area, who are looking for a small side gig! Maybe you'll inspire someone in your area to start up a business like ours!

Hi there! Thank you so much! Gosh, yes! On install day it can be hard for me to remember to give every detail about each plant, but I will do better about listing each growing zone for each individual plant! In the video (I shared before this one, I do go into detail about each plant, prefacing that they are all great in our growing zone 5-- if this helps!) Thank you so much for this feedback, I am excited to apply it to our next perennial video!

New subscriber here. I found your channel through Up North Gardener w/ Corey. We live in western North Carolina, zone 7b. We recently lost 14 huge oak trees and some Red Buds in our yard due to Hurricane Helene. It devastated our area. We now have full sun conditions and need to entirely change our shrubs, perennials, trees, etc. We have purchased the Green Giant Arborvitaes to start a privacy area between neighbors. Are there any other fast growing trees/shrubs you could recommend for our space? I look forward to catching up on all your videos.

Hi there Pattie! Welcome to the channel! 🌿 Thanks so much for subscribing-I’m thrilled to have you here. I’m so sorry to hear about the loss of your beautiful trees due to Hurricane Helene. That must have been heartbreaking, but it’s great to hear you’re ready to transform your space with new plantings! The Green Giant Arborvitae is an excellent choice for privacy! For more fast-growing trees and shrubs that thrive in full sun and zone 7b, you might also consider (please remember this is not my growing zone, so there could be a number of options I am not listing here!): Nellie Stevens Holly: A great evergreen option that provides privacy and grows quickly. Crape Myrtle: Adds vibrant summer color and can reach up to 20-30 feet, depending on the variety. Eastern Red Cedar: Another hardy, fast-growing evergreen with great screening potential. Vitex (Chaste Tree): Offers beautiful purple blooms in summer and grows rapidly in full sun. Forsythia: A fast-growing shrub with early spring blooms that brighten up your landscape. American Beautyberry: Grows quickly, attracts wildlife, and has stunning purple berries in fall. I hope this helps you get started on your garden makeover! If you have more questions or need specific recommendations, feel free to ask. I look forward to seeing you around the channel, and I hope you enjoy catching up on the videos! 🌱🌼 Thanks again for your support, and happy gardening!

I once transported a two trunk White spire birch in my minivan for a street-side memorial garden for my late husband. My grandchildren rolled their eyes and helped plant it the next day. That thing is huge, and white barked, now.
