This is very informative. I applied for registration of my trademark through vakilsearch, they don't tell this kind of information. Ideally they should educate clients on this. I think I registered device TM while I wanted to register wordmark. If anybody wants to register trademark Don't go for Vakilsearch. Good to any advocate near you but not vakilsearch.

As a practicing Patent agent and Attorney I can say that a lot of information in this video are misleading. And when he says that Patent Agent Examination is very easy he is living in a fool's paradise! You have to have an in-depth knowledge of The Patent Act, 1970 along with the Patent Rules, 2003. Additionally you must have the knowledge of Industrial Designs Act and Rules. Additionally you must have the knowledge of International Patent Filings through PCT Application. For Paper 2 you should have a good knowledge of drafting Patent Specifications (which is hardcore technical drafting) and Legal Drafting like filing Reply to FERs. For this reason Patent Agents earn good salary as compared to the Trademark Agents.

@AlienBambina7 For Patent Attorney you must be registered as an Advocate in any State Bar Council. Apart from that you must have a thorough in-depth knowledge of Patent Act 1970 and Patent Rules, 2003. It is recommended to clear the Patent Agent Examination if you are a Science or Engg graduate.

@@AlienBambina7 Get some post qualification experience in an IP Law Firm under some experienced Patent Attorney. It is advisable to get into Patent Litigation only if you have a Technical background since most of the Patent Professionals have their expertise in their science & technology subjects as well. For Patent Agent Examination eligibility criteria is a degree in Engineering or Science.

If u read my question carefully again & help me out . 3yr(llb) cleared AIBE & registered as a advocate one should go for Ligitation , Corporate , criminal etc which is good for entering into law world and salary package and job security in future etc
