I don’t understand what you’re doing to these vines that make them good for weaving or craft purposes. When I tried making wreaths with the vines, they didn’t make very good wreaths. When the moisture is gone they don’t stay hard and they break apart, also the bark flakes off of it.

I'm sorry you haven't gotten good results. Ruth Duncan said she only used kudzu that was growing up trees and power poles and she had to work with it within a week of harvesting or it got too brittle. I've had one of her baskets for nearly 30 years and it is still beautiful.

😂...and they STILL can't figure out that there is only one North flowing river in West Alabama. It's the Chickasaw bouge creek. If you follow the Alabama river South from Selma to the first river system...you'll find that's the bogue. And if you traverse up the bogue about a mile you'll discover an old Indian site on the right. It's on Linden timber company property. Never been researched. Never been dug. Ya keep following the bogue North and you end up at Demopolis where the black warrior and tombigee conjoin. The great swamp DeSoto traversed is the swamp the runs from just over the bridge North of Demopolis alllll the way to just before Moundville. We won't talk about how many mounds there are in Marengo county. Most land owners will never tell you they're there anyway. I know there were three sites on my dad's place. Sites, not just mounds... Two woodland, one archaic. The archaic had fine earthenware with red and white paint. Woodland was purely functional. Woodland pottery ranged from clay mixed with sand to clay mixed with shell. But shhhh. Don't tell anyone! Lol

Ga. went to Washington and had the river border moved to the high-water mark. So, Alabama could not use the river for manufacturing.

For all the barbarity against Native Americans in the 16th century, what justification can we come up with for the barbarity that visited them in the late 19th century. We have barely shuffled out of the caves as the human race.
