I wonder if the Elton song he's referring to is Talking Old Soldiers from Tumbleweed Connection?

I can’t stand how John tore George Martin’s work on his songs apart. Martin and Paul took John’s half-baked ideas and filled in the technical details John could never be bothered with.

Sure Paul, a picture drawn by Julian about some girl would cause your perception of reality to distort, cause you to trip out. Makes you see gigantic flowers, and kaleidoscopic gal. Not LSD. Surrrre.

You can hear the gears in Paul's mind turning as he searches for the most careful response to being asked about Klein. 😂 Sadly, he privately already knows the Beatles are done.

Epstein was the boy's friend and compadre, but he screwed them blue with his bad deals and decisions. He was so inexperienced when it came to such a new business as R & R in 1960s. But in the end, the love they make, is equal to the money crooks take

All fingers point to George, John and Ringo wanting to get away from Paul's overbearing manner. THAT is what Broke up the Beatles. Neither Ringo or George cared about Yoko being in the studio. They found it "different", but for them it wasn't a deal breaker. It was only Paul that had a huge problem with Yoko being there. It was Paul that started (and kept up the rumors for years) that it had been Yoko that broke up the Beatles. Paul was being overbearing and the rest didn't enjoy the studio time any more because of Paul. John, George and Ringo have said so (if you read between the lines). They just said it in a nice way that gave them the option to deny they meant it that way. Listen to what Ringo says about Paul in this video and "read between the lines".

@@yutopia7 as a musician, the creator was bolder in his lyrics, usually more interesting, closer to society, and also to personal problems. McCartney admitted several times that Lennon was the band's leader, which is telling. Lennon was more poetic and yet rock. McCartney has a better voice, he is a multi-instrumentalist, but when I listen to Lennon's solo work, I feel it better, more emotionally.

Interesting how revisionism works in relation to John. There’s a danger in elevating him as a saint which he’d never claim for himself though he had massive wit, courage and artistic inventiveness. John could never have co-written with Paul if he hadn’t thought of Paul as an equal collaborator with his own talents that fitted like a glove with John with hardly any conflict as Paul says. It was functional in cranking out an astonishing body of work when they were so busy and demands placed on them. George and Ringo helped amazingly in arranging or rearranging their songs so it worked 100 per cent and George and finally Ringo started writing as well. The group was the ultimate group and operated as equals.
