You are taking care of him like your own baby. I love it. I have two tortoises and am trying to do the same but sometimes there is conflicting information out there about tortoises. But doing my best for my two babies. I always had mammals before this, dogs and rabbits. But I ended up with a tortoise after they died, loved him, and got a second one. I am learning and want to give them as good of a life that I gave my mammals.

As a fellow owner of a 5yr old redfoot...I can honestly say..no need to chop the food as in the wild nobody would chop it. I give mine shit whole...he will eat lychee and leave the pips... ❤

Redfoot tortoise require a very particular climate. Having the proper terrarium in both locations would be best. That said tortoise are easily stressed, and regular relocation can stress them out, so plan accordingly and possibly think of perhaps a sitter instead of relocation.
