How have you found riding etc since your surgery and what was your recovery time realistically as a horsey girl? It the one thing that’s puts me off as I don’t have any help with my horse and she can be a bit of a handful🙈🧡

Ik this was a year ago but looking at this video the horse needed so much more flat/dressage training before jumping so much, he didn’t look very balanced and was lacking a lot of flat work and muscle no hate at all just needed to be said

hi! just pointing out nicely that your horse is looking very uncomfortable jumping.. crazy tail swishing, kicking out, rearing, the refusals, throwing his head.. maybe you should look into it idk? to me thats not normal

Sorry to hear you are in discomfort Natalya, from surgery! Wishing you all the best and hope you are not in too much pain. It must be really frustrating not being able to be with your horse babies …but don’t push yourself too much… I love watching anything you get up to in the “horsey” world ….mucking out anything …. I’m sure your mum will help you! Take care x

I'm sorry to hear you've had surgery. I certainty know how it feels not to be able to get in the saddle. I've had 22 operations, 2 of those being major surgery in the last 8 years after becoming seriously ill... I've been told that I won't ride again 😢 as you can imagine it completely devastated me and my entire life. It has taken me a while to come to terms with it (but never will fully get over it) but now I'm so blessed to have my two ponies now, Olly, who is a 16-year-old new forest gelding, and I have Folly, who is an 11-year-old miniture shetland mare who both get a pampering and are very much fussed over every. I'd literally be lost without them. For a long time, I really struggled mentally with losing horses from my life as they played a massive part as I was a full-time competition groom, and I had my own horses who all had to go as none of my family are horsey and they were young so needed all the time and work putting into them and I wasn't able to anymore. It is completely life changing when you're told you can no longer do what you love, and i lived for horses. That's all I've known since the age of 4. I'm just so glad I have help now to do all the jobs I can no longer do, but I'm still able to see my ponies and get my horsey fix which is amazing!! So don't let the next few weeks get you down. Give yourself time to heal and write down your goals for the future with the ponies and see them as much as possible cos that will keep you going till you're able to climb aboard again. You'll get there! Xx
