I love this center! I’m going to make a wreath that looks like a sunflower for a good friend who loves sunflowers. Her birthday is in September so I have plenty of time (if I don’t procrastinate).

You’re not understanding what I’m saying. I am not showing a video on how to make this petal. This design belongs to another crafter. She will show you how to make it, if you’d only follow direction and actually go to her You Tube channel and watch. I provided you with the link. I am only showing how to make an easy center for this type wreath or any actually, that you might want to try it with.

Will you please explain how you mark the middle of the plastic mesh with the black marker to make a pattern. How many inches apart you make the circles. I would really appreciate that. Thank you in advance! 😊
@OCpinki
@OCpinki 2 жыл бұрын
Elizabeth, the plastic circles that I use are normally pre cut. I get them from HLobby. Find the center and mark a small around that….you will see the center is raised a bit on those circles. Now count out 3 squares from the center. Following the raised part, mark a circle around.count out 3 more squares and do the same. Continue like that until you teach the outer edge. Hope this helps. Directions on How to attach the petals to the frame are given by DeanMichaelDesigns, you tube video. That link is in my “ see / show MORE Under the video

@OCpinki

If you are able to find one pack of the pre-cut circles….then you can use those as templates to cut your own, from sheets of #5 plastic grid. I prefer the #5 but #7 will work fine.

How wide and long did you use
@OCpinki

Hi and thank you for watching. In the video, I do show and mention that the roll of burlap is 5.5” in width and 10’ long. What you see me working with is half of the roll. You can make it any size you wish, depending on the amount of center you need to fill in. So, 5.5” X 5’. Is the size of the one I show.

My thread just snapped halfway through and I could literally just cry!! So frustrating :( (I may run some clear filament fishing line through and try to salvage this project because the end result is beautiful!)
@OCpinki
@OCpinki 2 жыл бұрын
Yup, that is frustrating, but….easy fix. Pull the burlap strip out flat and just choose the thread beside the one that broke. Remember, burlap is a natural material, so it can be delicate at times. Also, soften up your strip by balling it up and squeezing. Then lay it flat again before pulling a thread. Hope this helps…and don’t give up! HUGS

Sorry I saw someone said the brown mesh is 7 1/2 in but how long?
@OCpinki
@OCpinki 2 жыл бұрын
Hi Jan, did you happen to see the beginning of the video, or check the supply list, under the video. I did show, the brown burlap is 5.5” wide and is 15’ long. So…..if you fold that 15’ in half, you will end up with 7 1/2’ of burlap length. If you are using a wider width than 5.5”, then you will have a much taller center. I show what I use to make this pretty center. If you use anything else, adjustments will have to be made to achieve that look. Hope this helps. And thank you for watching.
@OCpinki
@OCpinki 2 жыл бұрын
Also….that 5.5” width, folded in half comes to 2 3/4”. That it the height of your center.
