I am in 60 years old and very active, I generally walk from 5-7 miles daily. Recently, however I had gotten severe food poisoning ( I traveled to a 3rd world country.) and was feeling feverish, chills, headache, vomiting, dizzy, etc. I was feeling better, when I had gotten home and planned to walk only a few blocks to the corner store to get Gatorade and crackers. I fainted halfway there! This had never happened to me in my life! I fell on some gravel and went to the ER, just to be checked out. My electrolytes were low, I had gotten some bruises and a abraded knee and cuts and scrapes. They gave me a spray called Hibiclens... It is excellent! It is drying the wounds and speeding up scab formation and also has antiseptic properties. I don't think I'll scar, but my knees hadn't looked like this since I was preschool age and would fall skating and playing in trees! But I was fortunate, at least I didn't fall on my head or face! I am watching this video because it is important for older people to know basic first aid.

A.I. is a fast-moving technology that almost defies predictions as to how it will be deployed in the future. I've seldom seen any experts in the tech field who truly knows where it will go or whether it will be for the good of humanity or if it will cause major social upheaval. Humans are justifiably concerned with letting this cat out of the bag. For all its benefits, we all sense its impact from a military and surveillance point of view. The advent of the internet quickly made people become jaded and unconcerned about their privacy. When people were getting "snail-mail" letters in the post years ago, any sign that the envelope had been damaged or that the letter had been read would have created serious concerns of a privacy breach. We all knew this action as a Federal offense. But in today's world, no one gives a second thought to have Google look over every piece of email they send or receive and database this information forever. Snowden tried to raise concerns about the NSA's routine invasions of privacy of cellphone and internet activity on its citizens but most of that news barely ruffles feathers today. So kids born into this world have all lowered their privacy expectations to mimic what they see in adults. A.I. has the capability of exceeding surveillance capabilities a thousand fold. Once A.I. gets seamlessly integrated into robotics, even manual labour jobs will evaporate overnight, let alone white collar jobs. The other major question is who gets to make the decisions of how and when A.I. gets implemented? Politicians and lawyers are the least capable people in society to draw up laws concerning tech issues. Their demonstrable ignorance of technology has been on display for decades. What makes us think they know how to address complex issues that protects people from the greed and wrath of massive corporations? Like it or not, A.I. is not going to slow down, pause or stop for anyone. The floodgates have opened, we're swept up by the tide and now we must scramble to harness its power in whatever fashion people see fit. We could very well be on the cusp of creating our own version of Frankenstein's monster. The existential fears are real. I won't be around to see its impact all that much longer. But my grandchild and daughters sure will. I hope the upsides are much greater than the downsides, for them and future generations.

Wow! Really great stuff. Each one of you brought so much to the table. I loved the way that you shared such different personal experiences but managed to bring it all together into a sort of unified message for the viewer. I also was impressed by how you kept the topic (relapse) on track for the entire show. A lot of time these things start off with a topic and then wander off diluting the message and winding up leaving the viewer without a solid walk away. John & Jeff, I completely identify with the after-work drinking culture and the way you explained and how challenging it is for someone in that industry to try and stay sober. Also, the way you both explained the difference between a Skip and a Relapse had a lot of tangible meaning and I could see it offering a little peace to someone who has skipped and someone who has or is in a current relapse. Jeanette brought on an entirely different dynamic to the group. While she spoke so eloquently about the subject matter, she added this extra layer in speaking about co-dependency and how it can fuel addiction and especially a relapse. It was also refreshing to hear a woman's perspective because a lot of times these things are male-driven, and Jeanette brought a completely different perspective and usable knowledge to the discussion. Keep her on all your shows! Finally, the greatest part was that the message was user-friendly for different many pathways to recovery, and you made that very clear to the viewer. I personally would rather light my head on fire and put it out with a hammer than go to an AA meeting but I was able to understand what an invaluable tool for some. Jeanette also shed light on the fact that there are Zooms that are pretty much 24/7 and I'm pretty sure a lot of people in the beginning stages of recovery don't realize that. A great example of a tangible walk away Jeanette. So, Jeanette, John, and Jeff, the judges have voted and... You're Going To Hollywood!!!
