Nice clutch I’m waiting on two to drop first one will be leopard 100% het for pied to a black pastel pied. Second is a kingpin to lithium. I have two others that just came out of the pre lay shed. Pinstripe to banana(female maker)male And a champagne pinstripe to a enchi yellow belly.

Awesome babies Nick. Our year is... interesting. Last week we had 5 clutches hatch, with a total of 25 babies. Unfortunately, for the most part we either missed the odds, or has mis-labeled/mis-identified snakes that didn't produce exactly what we were hoping. So right now we're waiting for babies to shed out to try and figure out what's going on. 1 clutch in particular was just supposed to be calico to calico. So the result should be obvious... calico; with the possibility of a super calico. Instead it looks like the female is enchi calico. And the male, which I knew had to be WAY more than just calico, is (from what we can tell) is a GHI Mojave calico, with possible lesser/butter in there. And there has to be some sort of pastel or super pastel going on because half the babies have super blushed out heads. 1 looks like a Pastel or super pastel GHI. Some definitely have enchi in them. But oddly... no obvious calicos. 😢 Also had a GHI x Mojave pairing... and no combos. GHI was strong in the clutch, and they look awesome. But would have liked to produce a few GHI Mojaves. But can't wait to see that mystery baby in that clutch you hatched, as well as clutches to come. Also can't wait to see how you do with womas. 👀 I might have to get on a waiting list if you decide to let any go.

Kind of piggy-backing on you, is noth making sure you have space for babies once they hatch, but also not count your snakes before they hatch. We just went ham on ball python and cornsnake breeding this year. We have about 12 clutches in the incubator right now. But have about a dozen or more females we had paired up that were waiting to lay. So we have the rack space for the expectation that every female will lay and that every egg will hatch. BUT IN REALITY, be in the mind set thst only half your females will actually lay. And of those clutches thst lay, you have to factor in the mortality rate of eggs going bad. And even further, from all your eggs that hatched, not all might make it. There's always 1 or 2 "failure to thrives" that just happen. But factoring in that in the wild only 10% of eggs that are laid will actually hatch and thrive into adulthood, I'd say having a 10% mortality rate in captivity is a very real expectation. So kind of... expect the glass half empty, and be pleasantly suprised if it ends up more than half full.

The best tip is to get out of the business It's toxic, snakes are routinely abused, drawers are still used in 99% of facilities AND THE MARKET IS TERRIBLE. ☝️☝️☝️ "Make sure you choose animals you want to work with so you can keep them in crappy racks for the entirety of their lives" Those of us in the hobby know the stain that is ball python breeding. "I've had my fair share of failures" #1: Your first failure is not caring that your animals will never get an opportunity to climb a single branch (Continued on Reddit)

Awesome clutch. The leopard pied is a real banger. Still got a lot of clutches in the incubator. Our first clutch was a head scratcher. Was SUPPOSED to be a dbl het albino pied to an OD yb pied combo. The kicker is we bought the female already gravid from a friend getting out of the hobby. So it was someone we trusted to know what the pairing was. Well... as it turned out, they had thrown a 2nd male in with the female wondering what would come of it. But didn't tell us. So when the eggs started pipping we were very perplexed. There were 3 pieds. But only 1 looked OD. The other 2 weren't bright enough even for them to be yb. There was what we thought was a normal, but there was too much contrast, even for a yb. And the 5th egg had a COMPLETELY white head in the egg which was the real head scratcher. When the babies were all out of the egg we REALLY didn't know what was going on. There was what was clearly an OD YB pied.there was a very odd contrasting bright "normal". 2 pieds with no patterning in the colored saddles, and 1 completely white snake with dark eyes. Once we contacted our friend about it and told us about the other male, things started making more sense. We had a dual sired clutch and the OD pied was the only baby from the OD YB pied male. The other male was 1 we also got from our friend whom we name "Mr. Plus Plus Plus." He was an 8ba pied with a lot of hets and poss hets. Including sandblast and mystic. So the "normal" was actually a mystic. And the 2 pieds were sandblast pieds. And the white snake... well he must have a lot going on because he looks almost like his dad. Mr. Plus Plus Plus is COMPLETELY WHITE, with only 3 black scales, and dark eyes. So the white baby might gain a dark scale or 2 as it grows and will be a holdback for sure.

Pick the species you can breed the most genetic deformities into. Remember: when you're sell helpless animals with crooked spines and bulging eyes to children, it's ok because the color is nice.
