Good job! Screeding concrete by hand is hard work and there are not many places that rent electric screeds. Having this setup also allowed you to do it yourself with little additional hired labor.

Damn dude by the time you got done wrestling with the modifications and assembly you could have just went out and rented a Electric screed and been done with it. It’s quicker ,lighter and hell of a lot easier to use, and not to mention no gas fumes oh and of course a lot lighter….

The long term problem with shortening the blade on one side to make it vibrate. The crankshaft bushing will soon destroy itself. Mower with a drive system have a pulley on the crank shaft. Install a second pulley with the out of balance weight so that it becomes the expendable item that will over time self destruct instead of the more valuable engine. With the auxiliary vibration device set up it can be incorporated with the original drive system so that the vibrator can be engaged and disengaged as needed.
