There has to be a long term solution to fix this problem because no one deserves this. The administration of these South Korean schools have to do a better job and treat their teachers well. The bottom line is that their schools are very poorly run with dumb people managing everything, this creates a massive disparity. There has to be more complaints in this regard to all the employment unions on a massive scale not only in Korea but in many Asian countries. Poor employers are unacceptable and we need to let people know this.

During the Japanese colonial period (1910-1945), Korea adopted a legal system based on Japanese law, which included criminal defamation provisions. After Korea’s liberation and the establishment of the Republic of Korea in 1948, these laws were retained and incorporated into the new legal system. The cultural values in Korea (reputation and honor are highly valued) are the reason these laws are still in effect. It's not about what your opinion of someone's words or actions is. It's about your intent to "expose" that person as a liar/bad person/etc. If they truly did something criminal in Korea, it is your duty to report it to authorities. Otherwise, it is best policy to keep your mouth shut because being "messy", engaging in gossip, or doing anything that will cause a public spectacle at the expense of damaging someone else's image is literally punishable by law

That law was probably put into place for election purposes. They can use that law to silence anyone that go against their campaign. Basically silence the citizens who influence on the internet that don't go along with elites big picture. Which on a grand scale is actually more communist then democracy.

They have the same law in Japan, it's very effective against whistleblowers, and it also enables the guilty to exact revenge on their accusers. One way to make a country appear to be more honest than it is is to make telling the truth risky.

Is so crazy how saying the truth about a bad person can get you in problems but all those anti-fans can spread lies about idols without any consequences. While those idols get their lives destroyed by them.
@gamesong6600
@gamesong6600 16 күн бұрын
They do it anonymously and sometimes there are truths in it, so idols don't press charges also even if it's a complete lie and idols press charges it might backfire as they maintain an image that arouses protective instinct among fans.

It's not about being corrupt. The Korean defamation law is almost the same in Japan. Even if it's the truth, the person who said it will be the one punished. Because in this 2 countries they REALLY care about their reputation and "face". They don't want anyone or anything that will say bad about them, rumor/accusations or not. That's why Korean celebrities are really careful and avoid any rumors and issues. Because it can literally cost them their jobs.
@pan364

It is corruption with a sprinkle of culture in it, lol. Law is supposed to be based on justice and TRUTH. Though the laws that have an exception of not ruining a "reputation. ".... that is corruption at its finest.

If the influencer has a good lawyer, that’s blood in their shark waters. Words like that only work in the West. In the East, it’s impact over truth. As in, impact my reputation (even if it’s truth) = lawsuit for defamation.

@4grazy4
@4grazy4 16 күн бұрын
@@margreetdoodeman1441 hurting their honor is the worst you can do. The image they have on the outside is most important thing. Unmasking the truth makes them look weak, faulty and ultimately ashamed. I used “feelings” as a broad term but ultimately, shame is very much a feeling.

@@4grazy4 many ppl wear masks but in Japan it is part of their culture. I wonder, i think it is interesting, how you can be aware of feelings in these circumstances? Do feelings only exist if you are aware of them? For myself i have thought about shame, in which way does it affect me, does it occur? If you are not aware, is that being rude? Thanks for making me think about it.
@4grazy4

@@margreetdoodeman1441 I live in Japan. People wear masks during kafunsho season mostly (hay fever) because pollen allergy makes 50% of the population sneeze, eyes swollen and look like crap. Again it’s about shame. Girls wear them sometime when their make up is not done. It is based on their looks/reputation not logic. The logic behind masks has been already debunked and it’s pretty much useless and in any case no one forced others to wear masks before covid in Japan. It’s a personal choice. Imposing that on others is not part of their culture. Looking the same, following rules, herd mentality is their culture. They are scared of germs as fuck but do things that don’t make sense like using a wet tissue before eating with hands instead of washing their hands. many people grab food that falls on the table and eat it. Many people scratch their nose and then put their mask. Many put their masks on after seeing a foreigner getting close, cause they think we bring diseases. Many people don’t wear condoms .. and STDs rise every year.. where am I getting at? Many customs don’t make sense. Just because people do them, it doesn’t mean that others should be forced to do the same. I wash my hands before eating instead of using that useless wet tissue.. no one is screaming in my face though…
