On guiness it's push back all the way otherwise the surgery doesn't work.

The reason why it was smoother on first can and less fizz is because that's what the back push does. So you need to touch back not staunch back like you did me old fella me lad.

Had a pint of Peroni from my second machine straight after finishing the last of my Spaten Oktoberfest kegs. The Peroni tasted like Carling Black Label in comparison. Won’t buy again hugely overpriced for what is a very average lager. It’s like buying a Vauxhall when you could have a Mercedes for less money.

Having a few mates over this weekend and so I like the idea of having 2 different kegs on the go at once. I’m wondering though, when swapping back and forth is there much delay in pouring time? i.e will I have to wait another 45 mins for machine to read temp etc each time I swap? I've just loaded a jupiler and am experiencing my first ever dripping keg! There must be some bad quality control in kegs or tubes. It's ok saying keep some tubes but I've only got these ones no old ones! *UPDATE* I've loaded it tonight with an old tube I found and no drips!

Good honest review

The drips are caused by a faulty rubber tube that enters the tap so I have been told keep a spare plastic tap and rubber tube.

please bring back the old formuia of trying it first time on video, i don't see the point otherwise, there can be no first impressions when you have already necked 5 or 6 pints.

I had a leaky keg the other day the tray kept filling up and had no other option but to waste a few pints out of it. I couldn't understand why the tray was filling up and the pipe kept dripping

Hi Baldy, great review. Im probably biased as im not a fan of Italian beers but it doesnt do it for me. I proactively avoid it when out. Even though its markedly different it reminds me of late 90s Stella with its sickliness after a few!!! Each to their own but its not for me. Im a fan of German lager and for me it cant hold a candle to Lowenbrau or Spaten

I have given up on these home draft systems now. Sold mine. The price of the beers is just extortionate now. The new Perfect Draft system uses so much power it costs almost £10 a month just to have it switched on and cool a keg, on top of the huge cost of the beer. Good luck to you guys, but when it starts costing as much as the pub, with all their overheads, it is just a rip off.

When I spoke to PD they suggested it could be a leaky keg and also advised that you wet the seals when loading. The suggestion is that the keg leaks around the bag seal else the seal to the keg leaks. So when others suggested the pipe, it confused me further . But it is very annoying and a waste of beer . Ps great to see you again Baldy !

Good honest review and couldn’t agree more. At £42.90 for what essentially is a standard lager is too expensive when you consider the popular, quality lagers such as Lowenbrau, Spaten or Hawkestone are at least £4 cheaper. Anyway good to see you back reviewing Baldy, shame there’s no PD Con this year.
