I like this story. I've read the book a few times one of my favourite DS novels to be honest I much prefer the book. The comes a close 2nd.

Great movie with lots of great actors and actresses. I noticed Moonlight Serenade by Glenn Miller being played at dinner so gather this was one of the last voyages of the Queen Mary. My Great Uncle was on the Maiden Voyage in 1936 to Southampton as an Oil Baron from Texas so love this ship. ❤❤

I'm not used to seeing Jane Seymour playing the role of a floozy, over acting. The gowns are just awful even gaudy. I guess Americans dressed worse than Europeans. I'm only in part 1, hopefully it gets better.

in most western movies, Adultery is portrayed as Romance... In other Asian or African movies, they are not...

You have not seen many foreign films, apparently. Adultery is a consequence of human nature, not ethnicity.

@@dolinaj1 What I observed is, in most not ALL western movies, Adultery is portrayed as Romance and audience comment also reflects the same I.e. Adultery is OK and that is it not wrong to follow your heart even if it meant that it will affect/hurt the people close to you... ... In most not ALL other Asian or African movies, Adultery is portrayed as shameful and not to be proud off and the audience mindset also reflects it ....

Everyone says how great Jane Seymour 🌹 is but she looks and acts so wicked in this movie that it's really hard for me to take it. I want to correct one thing she said: WHEN she said that God Mom and apple pie are on her side so she gets her son, the script writer forgot that in America, if a female is cohabitating with a male out of wedlock, that goes against them in court because they are considered a fallen woman, hence,they do not have the moral character to raise a child, so the child gies with the dad. I realize that many times in these movies they have to go against reality just to make the movie but I wanted to make that point because I guess she's acting so well that she really makes me hate her a lot. I will say that when I lived in LA, I went to Star Wares, a shop on Main st in Santa Monica, where the stars would donate their clothes and I bought a skirt of hers which fit me PERFECTLY ☺️ until I got older-- in which case it doesn't fit either of us cuz I see that she's not as thin as she was when she was premenopausal, shall we say.😉 I plan to sell her/my skirt on line🤓. FYI, Due to the on going genocide conducted by the Jewish Hitler, aja Netanyahu, against 🇯🇴, my sympathies are no longer one sided re WWll ❤

Crossings (TV Mini Series 1986) - imdb 6.6 An industrialist meets the wife of a French ambassador on a transatlantic voyage to Europe. Christopher Plummer of course drew me in and then Jane Seymour.both excellent in the roles they play characters to the extreme of very nice people and also just ogres. Jane on East of Eden with and on WW11 movie playing a Jewish woman along withSir John Gilgould and Many other greats. Christopher Plummer has played so many characters and excellent on each. Anticipating a very good watching experience thank you for sharing!
