Excellent video - very inspiring for me to try harder with my own restoration. I have not been quite as brave in pulling it totally apart like you due to dexterity issues from a disability. Great to see all your cleaning work. It makes a huge difference.

Thank you really much for your kind words, I really appreciate them! I’m sorry for your situation though. I also took a break from restoration especially making videos and now broke a finger - can’t do quality restorations anymore. But we’ll see in the future if I will continue

Haha, good one! They weren’t actually the fastest of their kind, but they weren’t slow for their time either. Smart roadster has got 82hp as I mentioned which is enough to reach speeds over 180kph 😀

Hey there, I don’t remember having this problem on my 550. The paint in general was in a quite good condition and I only had to polish its surface. When I have something like in your case I try to clean it away or polish out. I have no instruments to repaint modelcars and I hope you will not need to do that

Good question. I think if we only consider quality, that would be Kyosho. They use better materials, better paint and arguably put more details than Norev. F90 is more fragile too; it has some scratches on windshield already, just from cleaning it, while G30 is looking perfectly fine after three years. I think I wrote my opinion on these cars in description of the video 😉

I think this model require few improvements , definitely get rid of the stock tires it made the car look literally twice cheaper . Change mirrors to the something actually reflective ,and maybe some additional polishing for the body if u have some tools.

It’s a great idea, but the objective of this project is to keep this time capsule as close to its original look as possible. Maybe if I purchase something that isn’t that valuable or rare, I’ll try modifying it to made more high quality and realistic looking 👌 The polishing part is obligatory for all the restorations. Thanks for the advice though, I appreciate it!

does all cars spit flames and get turbo blow off sounds when modded to the max in assoluto racing?

I think exhaust flames are added with top Exhaust upgrade, turbo blow off instead only gets added on turbocharged cars. It also differs in sound as you upgrade it from stage to stage.

It really does, but may not in its stock form. In the video I’m running 16 tire pressure on front axle and around 32 on the rear, sport tires. It made Mustang swing so much, especially under throttle. There are cars that oversteer way more, but this one is rather comfortable by the way - perfect to practice no steer assistant runs 😉

@@Bluecarrra friend told me that it's way better if you put 10 pressure on all cars and all tires, he is the fastest person that i know on assoluto, i have videos of him racing, he managed to make a 1.30 time on touge reverse with a trueno

Probably not. It’s basically a fancier 18’ mustang. But honestly I can’t tell as i didn’t compare them together yet, behaviour of them might differ. Also I got to mention that CTR2 was my biggest disappointment of all times

I’m lucky that everything works just fine. Last year I couldn’t play new maps and everything was lagging but this time I got prepared better. On forest path even iPhone 14 is getting freezes. I wonder what’s going on with others

These 'made in Italy' Bburagos are now really special and become more sort after as time goes on. These are really worth keeping.

I can agree as a proud bburago 348tb owner! Also I have to appreciate the range of modelcars that was available back then. Now bburago or maisto doesn’t make these, such as 348tb, f40, Maranello. Having these now is quite unique, considering how rare they are becoming :)

Fun fact about the Bburago F40. Bburago is the only model maker to date to make the F40 Prototype. Note the 5 slots below the rear wing instead of 4. Note the different rear windowcompared to the 'production' F40. Also note the side mirrors of the Prototype (Bburago F40) 'sit' in the side windows and not on the doors. Which make these early Bburago F40 models rather special. Again you can use a black permanent marker to paint the b-pillars black. Make the engine strut black. Use a fine 0.4 marker to paint in the black stripe around the sides of the F40. A silver permanent marker is also very useful in refreshing the wheels, just push tyres out of the way. Would love to see you do that.

Yeah it’s exactly that what you’ve wrote, it’s funny how I realised it just a few weeks before! For me it was quite disappointing because I of course wanted to own the actual production model. Anyway if I close my eyes on it, it’s a very pleasing modelcar to own! P.s. I’m probably going to restore the rims in some way: I have to hit off the old paint and find a way to fix scratches and dents on plastic. After I can use chrome spray paint 😉

What a fantastic improvement. It's just insane from what level one can still get the paint looking decent. TIP: Use a permanent marker to 'paint in' some missing black parts like the 'b-pillars'. What also make for a great visual improvement is to 'paint' the black edging in around the windshield also with a permanent marker.

Thank you so much mate! By myself I was really surprised by how it turned out. Thanks for the tip - I’m always fighting the urge to modify these cute models, but my first objection is to keep them as unmodified as possible. Maybe one day I’ll sacrifice one for a proper project :)

Great tip! I am just restoring one of these along with a Testarossa, and took the opportunity to also paint the dashboard top in flat black as I don't think the originals had pale cream colour on these surfaces. I like your tip of doing the window frames and B pillars with the permanent marker - thanks! I also did the chrome grill on the Testarossa with this method as I thought they were all black.
