when a resin boom is set and finished can a hot dish or pan be set on it for a long amount of time?
@StartBlooming15 күн бұрын
@@carolklinger2057 it depends on the resin. For most resin, I would say no, especially if it’s straight off the stove or from the over. There are some bar or countertop resins that may be able to accommodate that. Most generic resins can’t withstand a hot mug.

You neglected to say what and why you use that white :( Does it have to be at a certain temperature? I even went out of my way and bought "Pouring Your Heart Out" white but I just cannot make 1 single bloom :(
@StartBlooming17 күн бұрын
@@Shazian_Fleur hmm, I have so many whites, my favorites are Ocean White by Let’s Resin, CastinCraft and Bloom. I find Bloom to be a little more temperamental and likes warmer temperatures. Ocean White is heavier, but it will bloom at lower temperatures, 28 C or higher. CastinCraft I find is the easiest, but it does like a temperature 31+. A lot of people will start with Piñata white alcohol ink because it’s the easiest, but it’s a flat bloom, not 3D. So I’d start with CastinCraft or Piñata. I’d let it warm to 31-34 C. If it gets too warm it won’t bloom too. Then mix it until it’s a skim milk white color, you don’t want it to be bright white. Also, I think using piping bags are best for beginners to avoid blobs. Just a thin lined swirl. I probably did 100 blooms until I got them right. Just keep practicing.

Trying to get ideas for some new pour ideas.Did you use a sinker white and a mica color white? So either of them contribute to the end results? I think they look great. Thanks for sharing!!
@StartBlooming111 күн бұрын
@@ohcheap1 hi, I used a regular white and a mica powder. I don’t think a sinker would be heavy enough. I’d use like Let’s Resin Ocean White or CastinCraft Opaque Pigment, if you have one of those. You can do a similar effect without the white pigment, it’s just not as defined. I use a white mica (heavy on this so it sinks) and a colored mica. Let me know if you try it. 💕
