Awesome! Exactly right, teach them this young. My son started just before his 6th birthday and trains with me at home also. He'll be 8 this year and is still loving his training. At his age, it's all happy/playful based but with discipline, which helps massively in cultivating a love for the arts. It's a literal night and day difference in his abilities since he started to where he is now. 🙏🏻

@@danmcgowanmt cool. Any advice on how to get a fight in Japan. Did they watch your previous fights and see you were good so they paided for your stuff? I assume social media wasn’t really a thing back then.

Point of being all-rounded is a big one, Alfie Pearse is a good example of how he climbed to the top being Muay Khao, but now just can't keep up with those fully elite level all-rounded fighters.
@danmcgowanmt2 ай бұрын
I definitely think Alfie can work on a few more things to become better all round (like anyone can), we’ve got to remember that he’s very very inexperienced and what worked at the level below isn’t working as well against the elite. But now he’s had 2 losses that came from similar mistakes at elite level I’m sure he will work on it. He’s causing a lot of discomfort at that level still, but needs that little bit of extra sauce to beat them - I’m sure it will come for him with experience 🙏🏼
@mekongfarang2 ай бұрын
Some Muay Khao are the best ever. Alfie is low grade Muay Khao because he doesn't teep and doesn't use and long range weapons to throw his opponent off balance on his way in. Alfie is just walking in while the opponent is on balance and rhythm. That's not real Muay Khao. No matter the style you have to teep.
