LOVE me some STYX, before most of you here were even born!...hahaha, retired professional drummer here from Los Angeles, I cut my teeth on this band and Todd does an amazing job has been for 25+ years, he called in to do one tour, cause John was very ill and then Todd never left.

@32.29 I was just at the Tenacious D concert in Chesterfield, MO on 5/8/23 and I met the girl they called up on stage! She was super cool and was wearing the same boots and everything!!!

@@DeborahtunesBecause as talented as Lawrence is, the resonance in his voice fails to mimic the tone, quality, and original finesse of Dennis DeYoung’s voice. I love Styx, and appreciate that they all had their differences, and maybe Dennis is to blame, who knows, but I miss their original sound.

@@JohnPatrickWeiss ~ I guess I feel differently. Dennis's vocals isn't what they use to be. And honestly, I like this incarnation of Styx. They are much more energized, and you can clearly see they enjoy what they are doing. I believe even during their 1996 concerts there was tension on the stage between Dennis and the guys. It doesn't bode well during tours...

@Crush Everything Dennis was kicked out of Styx in 1999. He had an illness called Light Sensitivity .The band claims he didn't want to tour but thats ironic because Dennis toured with his band "Dennis Deyoung and the music of STYX" and hey, to this day , Dennis still has a problem with light sensitivity. Those concerts with his band are on KZbin as my evidence. Also, the song LIGHT UP was originally written and sung by Dennis but they won't play "Best of times" and "Dont let it end" but they're playing "Mr. ROBOTO ? " Just saying .

Where have you been? Dennis has been gone since 1999. DDY didn't just leave as someone else said. Short version, DeYoung was supposedly ill, and wouldn't tour for "Brave New World's release. JY & Tommy offered to get a temporary replacement on days Dennis couldn't perform, and DeYoung said no. So he was fired for refusing to allow them to tour without him...

Best ever NYE!!!! 🎉🤘🎸🥳 Lounge-right was great. Flew in from Boise to see show and barely made it. Just as we were getting ready to leave - Jack Black walked in!!! Not quite ‘fangirling’ but best ever sweaty hug from a super gracious and so awesome JB! Dreams do come true! 🙏💞🥳
