What do rate between Hornby 9F and Bachmann 9F ?
@NorthTyneLoop11 күн бұрын
Hi formidable38. I looked into what was going to be best for me, they are very similar in performance from what I understand, however the hornby model has a flickering firebox and greater detail on the metal parts so I was pulled towards that model. Also the bachmann 9f is already weathered, but I wanted to do my own weathering on the hornby model that is in a br black non weathered livery .
@ngauging12 күн бұрын
Hey man I never post on other people videos very often. But when I say your weathering which you have mastered great job to make them all look different too very impressive man. I am a massive fan of weathered loco's and rolling stock and your iron ore wagons look mint too well done my friend. Check out my videos on my European weathered stuff might give you a few ideas not that you need them right? 😜
@NorthTyneLoop12 күн бұрын
Hey Dave 👋. Thankyou for the kind words! I'm over the moon that people like yourself enjoy the content and the locos. Every individual piece of rolling stock has been researched and studied. It certainly brings the layout to life! I will certainly subscribe and give them a watch. Thanks again buddy. 👍

@@NorthTyneLoop Hey mate my pleasure. No offence meant but I cannot get into British rail stuff not enough variations for me and lived as a brat in Germany so that's where I first saw and fell in love with German rail stuff. I subbed to your channel keep up that good wreathing man. I do both my videos in English and German too so have an audience from both sides of the channel. Just starting a new Epic build too.
@NorthTyneLoop11 күн бұрын
@ngauging none taken matey. That's understandable with your routes in Germany. That's great how you can appeal to both audiences though. It's certainly an art getting them right, but you also do have that artistic licence to put your own touches in. Thankyou for the sub buddy. I've also followed your channel. I'll keep my eyes peeled 👍.

That's fab to hear from you ortac22 👍. Thankyou for the kind words. The steam days are missed, all that's left are the memories and our artistic licence to re create scenarios of our own. Aswell as some private railways and the odd tour to see.

@TheAntisocialTrain yeah they really are lovely models, just make sure to tighten up the bogie screws that hold the bogie to the bodies or locktite them in as a couple of mine made their way loose. Goodluck in getting a set though. Lovely things

Thanks for sharing. Using the Hornby's TTS or HM700 decoders with either Hattons 66s or Accurascale 66 locos seems to restrict the lighting options, but they can still sound great I have found. HM7000 (cheapest from Bure Valley btw) work out about £45 cheaper than buying Accurascale's pre fitted sound locos, but then you need to add a decent speaker too which then reduces the margin to about £25. Bearing in mind the function restrictions, I don't think it's worth it, I'd rather pay a little more for the proper pre-fitted sound version and get all the extra functionality: full lighting options and automatic flange squeal on corners etc. Conclusion: It is worth paying more for the Accurascale pre fitted sound locos when they available rather than fitting sound afterwards. Even fitting the Accurascale own sound afterwards works out about £30 more than their pre fitted locos! I appreciate that Accurscale's sound fitted locos aren't always available though. I only buy direct from Accurascale's website. You get loyalty points to spend against future purchases and free delivery too. Also, any issues and there's no being messed about by grumpy, slippery and illusive retailers shirking their responsibilities, Accurascale take the returns directly and pay/provide the postage label too. Regards Julian

Sounds good. Are you able to adjust the lights?
@NorthTyneLoop5 ай бұрын
Hi mate, thanks 😁. You can adjust the brightness in the advanced CV settings, you are restricted with light options just like the accurascale's 37 is with the hm7000 system. No cab lights unfortunately. But sound is cracking. I'm using an accurathrash speaker also
