YMF271 OPX = Original, SPI System + Single board OKI MSM6295 ADPCM = Inferior, poor quality

Both MSM6295 used this in the Japanese-made PCB for two games without nothing but Yamaha's YMF271 OPX used the US-release of single board.

@@ssnsonic2.0 Looped in just 5 or so seconds and the sample rate quality were poor except didn't fit properly per the sound ROM spaces for the memory sizes on Seibu's hardware.

My GOD! DemonStar, Jedi Knight Mysteries of the Sith and Doom 2, I played and still play these games religiously. Intro theme, with the hangar door opening and closing sound effects still gives me chills 20+ years later. My uncle introduced me to these fantastic games, may God rest his soul, just one more way to always remember him! 0:12:58 is a banger!

The PCM ROM this one uses is seemingly identical to the PCM ROM used by the final release of Silk Worm. Depending on how thoroughly the bootleg build of Back Fire emulated by MAME dummies out the sampler code, I've always wondered if one could restore the missing percussion track.
