Nice play on words . . . Drive Responsively (like being “responsive”) instead of Drive Responsibly (like being “responsible”) with a vehicle with probably at least 3x the horsepower the 50 Dodge came with (flat 6). I know, as I have one too. Nice truck and keep plugging away on it.

Show this channel some Luv and Subscribe! Really nice work! What weight thread were you using on the thread removed? 92 or less? And what weight did you switch to....maybe you said it and i missed it....thanks!
@HomeboysHotrods7 ай бұрын
I switched to 277 I believe??? The then was like normal weight thread and I hated they way it came out. I was being lazy and not wanting to thread the other machine! Ended up eating more time redoing it!
@lynchcreekmuzzy57597 ай бұрын
@@HomeboysHotrods whoa, that is thick! That thick thread does look sik....Since Hot Rods are more for show and little use... should be okay...but high wear areas that will fray apart rather quickly. I am not an expert by no means, but every shop I have went to looking for that on my seats they all rule against it....I stay with 138 but my seats get used regularly. Nice job 👏

For your topstitching do you use a lighter weight thread in the bobbin?
@HomeboysHotrods8 ай бұрын
Same thread on both top and bottom . My lager needle pulls the thin bottom thread up too far.
@lynchcreekmuzzy57597 ай бұрын
Yeah, i am not sure if its a good thing to mix different weight threads between your upper thread and bobbin. However, do pay attention to what type of thread you are using "polyester vs nylon", do not mix up.

also, to save you from having to pull another tank, get you some silicone grease. make sure you always use a new o-ring, but put some silicone on the o-ring to "glue" it in place (don't use silicone sealant, only grease). it'll hold it in place till you install the lock ring. we just had the same issue on our 66 bronco. saved us from dropping the tank.

Maybe since this now EFI, you may want to use EFI hose clamps. I hope that's EFI fuel line being used also.

i couldn't tell in the video, but if that sensor is behind the thermostat, you're gonna wanna swap it with the factory gauge spot. otherwise the snipers coolant enrichment tables are gonna be jacked due to not getting a good reading until the thermostat opens. another pro tip since it looks like you either do this for a living or are doing side job installs, wiring cars. invest about $5-10 on a pair of amazon special "flush cutters". makes those zip tie cuts sooooo much nicer. no more cut hands/arms when you brush against them.

good stuff. super nice truck . pro tip - i'd get a bung welded into that exhaust asap. get rid of that clamp. if it doesn't leak now, it will eventually. exhaust leaks on these systems are a pita. if you want some decent info on the holley systems or tuning on them, check out a few of my videos. off to watch part 2 now.

Love the truck! Awesome build. Glad you got your sniper and fuel system dialed in. I put the Sniper 2 on my K5 Blazer and I’m happy with it so far. The only thing I’m unsure about is the fuel pump. I went with the Holley OEM in-tank pump sending unit. It runs nice and quiet at first, but really gets loud and high pitched after running for a couple hours. Holley said that’s normal, but I question that. Time will tell I guess.
