I would suggest just doing a search for Steampunk jewelry and you will see all the different styles that people do. There is just so much of it out there now that it is impossible to say there are rules or certain styles. Thanks for your comments!

have just started in the jewelry biz, and am leaning toward the boho chic/steampunk/industrial side . . . does the steampunk always have pieces from watches/clocks/timepieces in or on them? well your going to love this shipment, I found some huge brass 7mm shells, some of which are going to become a reloadable firework cake. Also found lots of AK and AR15 rounds. Some of them are aluminum and steel. I thought you wouldn't mind, pm me your add. =) I can hardly wait to see which design you send me, I'll also include one of my custom stainless steel rings I make, if you know your ring size it helps =)))

bummer! maybe I'll go select a range of different casing and offer to send ya some. So far I'm at about a half a bucket of 5 gallon full of shells. =)

I have had people tell me they make wind chimes out of them. It is something I would like to try as well. I unfortunately don't have access to found casings but have to buy them. I need to move closer to a gun range I guess. :)

I think many Steampunk designs are very drab and monochromatic. I like more color in my creations so this is my interpretation of Steampunk.

heheh i make wind chimes out of casings =D I get buckets of shells from playing in the desert, even my gf enjoys "looking for treasure" since it resembles gold, it's easy to spot! Cool designs, i'll likely make some as well. Ta ta!~

Some of the shell casings I buy come with the primer removed so there is a hole there already. The ones that don't come with a hole I have to glue a cap with a loop so I can make then into a pendant.
