I saw them in their last concert in Biloxi when they announced they got signed and we're going on national tour. This was in 99 or 2000 i believe.

Me was there too, very much enjoyed sound, venue and band (driven only by the European wish to see the place I didn't know these guys but indeed a good mixture of live performance and backing tracks, great arrangements, and the front man doesn't need autotune which makes it perfectly human). Suggestion for future such tracks: Synchronize the video with the audio. The video is hugely ahead here due to the distance of the PA to your recording position (light is a million times faster than sound, and the PA system computers still about 50 times at that distance) - in the audience side-screens they took account of this lag which makes the second third rows of the Hollywood Bowl perfect for the live feeling (and guess why the musicians are never / seldomly shown directly on the screen/s directly behind the stage).

Lyrics: Now maybe I didn't mean to treat you bad But I did it anyway And then maybe Some would say your life was sad But you lived it anyway And so maybe Your friends, they stand around, they watch you crumble As you falter to the ground And then someday Your friends, they stand beside as you were flyin' Oh, you were flyin' oh-so high But then someday, people look at you For what they call their own, they watch you suffer Yeah, they hear you calling home And then someday, we could take our time To brush the leaves aside so you can reach us Hey, but you left me far behind Now may-ay-ay-ay-be I didn't mean to treat you oh-so bad But I did it anyway Now I'm saying, but may-ay-ay-ay-be Some would say you're left with what you had But you couldn't share the pain, no, no, no Couldn't share the pain, they watch you suffer Mm Now maybe I could have made my own mistakes But I live with what I've known And then maybe We might share in something great Won't you look at where we've grown Won't you look at where we've gone And then someday comes, tomorrow holds A sense of what I fear for you in my mind As you trip the final line And that cold day when you lost control Shame you left my life so soon, you shoulda told me Hey, but you left me far behind Now may-ay-ay-ay-be I didn't mean to treat you oh-so bad Oh, but I did it anyway Now may-ay-ay-ay-be Some would say you're left with what you had Oh, but you couldn't share the pain, no, no, no, no Oh no Oh no, no, no-no, no Oh, Lord, say Oh, Lord See, I know See, I know But may-ay-ay-ay-be I said may-ay-ay-ay-be Didn't mean to treat you oh-so bad Oh, but I did it anyway, no So m-maybe, now, oh Lord, baby Some would say you're left with what you had But you couldn't share the pain Now I've said, now, times have changed, your friends they come And watch you crumble to the ground They watch you suffer Yeah, they hold you down, hold on down Said maybe love, oh, maybe love Didn't mean to treat you bad But you left me far behind Left me far behind Left me far behind

"Hey Jealousy" 0:00 "Competition Smile" 3:34 Last and only other time I was as this venue no video was allowed, so I decided to bring my B pocket camera (Panasonic DMC-Z100) instead of my A pocket camera (Sony RX100vii) and especially not my inter-changeable lens cameras (Sony/Canon). But surprisingly filming was allowed. The Panasonic camera's Audio recording is low-end (but does not distort when recording very loud shows) , which is bit of a shame because this venue sounded real good! And Gin Blossoms sounded FANTASTIC!! I think this the one of the most energetic GB shows I've seen in the past few years, as well as the most energetic BG audience!

I notice that the new bassist interprets the old Kansas tunes in a remarkable way. He sounds progressive like in the 70s, with a more detailed sound, less mid bass and therefore better defined (Hi-Fi), he plays with a fender PBass while like Dave Hope in the best years of Kansas, He also plays in the same way that Dave Hope played on the original recordings, he places the same riffs in the right places and sometimes not hesitating to improvise, he gives back to Kansas the Style and tone of the best years of Kansas. I really like it.

@3VAudioVideoАй бұрын
@@gtralive-2024 Using a 135mm F1.8 lens helps with the bokeh! Plus I moved from being facing front and centered to up close and to the side of Randy for those 2 songs, so the distance ration from my camera to Randy to the other bandmates was much greater, creating my of that bokeh.
