It's BAD! Big FUp from RE here, they are hurting themselves now. The frame loop is also wrong. Looks too dragged and asymmetrical, almost like an American bike. Wrong RE! Big miss. They should have made a slightly stronger 350 in 500 or 600 form. If they insist on using their twin, then set it straight vertical or at least create a frame. bad ugly dirtty wrong RE

Maybe you haven't owned an Enfield lately, just as good as a w800 and as reliable
@UncleLongbeard
@UncleLongbeard Күн бұрын
I'm afraid you're daydreaming. Generally speaking Enfield is reliable nowadays but things like clutch plates, cables, wheel bearings, chain etc. just don't last as long. My w800 have 30k miles on the clock and till now the only things I had to replace were front brake pads and tyres plus one valve adjustment. Even the battery is still the factory one since 2011. However it have to be replaced now. Good luck with the same stats in Enfield. But ... It's still highly probable that I'll get one soon. I really like the new classic. But I'm fully aware it won't be as reliable as my W no matter what...

the gap between the top of the tire and fender on my 2015 classic 500 is bigger. it's just that the fender on my classic 500 comes down further and closer to the tire in the back. i love this look on the classic 650. and with a rider on it to compress the rear shocks some it looks really sleek. i am getting a teal one for sure.

It looks nice but the yellow and gray one being that it’s retro needs to be a little more stripped down.

Your saying that the BSA with the yellow and gray paint scheme is too “modern”but that was the same paint scheme as the 1967 BSA 441 victory special. The white and gray one is modern and ugly. BTW the bear 650 completely kills BSA.

Now, look at the info card in the video and the pinned comment ;) I don't think the bear look better really, but that's more like personal preference. It defo doesn't kill anything

It needs a bigger back tyre , a 150/80 x 18 will give a bigger rolling radius and affect the gearing slightly , but nothing a sprocket change wouldn’t fix

@@timboharty7325 yes, that as well, but the classic bikes do not use wide tyres. The best example of that modern ridiculousness is Harley. They used 130-150 tyres back in the day, now look at the breakout - 240mm :O

I don't think the fender looks that bad, With someone on it, it probably looks normal. What is harder on my eye is the way they had to lift the tank to fit the bulging engine under it. The 350 tank almost fits like a Lego on top of the engine. The new one looks a little more like an old Honda tank atop an inline 6 engine. Still, I can't stop looking at pics of the maroon one. Love that paint job.

People haggling over how massive the fender/ mudguard is… The Indian market here won’t even give a damn about those looks…the name itself is enough to make it sell like a Black Friday event… The fender does look quite big though, but hey, if it does its job then I’m probably okay with it… Wanna see how it’s gonna handle the mostly subpar roads of India…

I see it more as a modern classic ADV/travel-bike. The one thing I don't like is that huge catalytic converter underneath. There isn't even a centerstand due to that ugly metal box. That's a bummer. The 249 appeals to me the most. I would probably add a white high mudguard in front.

1. yes, more or less why I got Urban GS. 2. true, but sign of times. I would replace that whole exhaust anyway if that would be my bike 3. fact, but centre stand doesn't work well off road. 4. I don't like teal frame but other than that look at p.1 :)

Update. The viewers reminded me that the yellow is in fact the classic paint scheme known from BSA B44. I knew that bike of course but somehow the new scrambler didn't remind me about that. probably it looked a bit different on aluminium tank, or maybe the tank shape caused that. Don't know but I'm correcting myself. And looking from that perspective it makes sense! Thanks guys for the reminder. The colour scheme comes from that motorcycle: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/BSA_B44

I have the W800 with tubes, did 30000km and had zero punctures. But yes, it can be painful. You simply should carry spare tube and patches. Tubeless would be nice but it''s really expensive to keep good look and no tubes at the same time
