My choice is a rock form mount with anti vibration dumpener, not represented in your video. Three years on my shaking Road King 103 TC and my phone camera stabilisation is still alive 😅
@UncleLongbeard2 күн бұрын
It's not available in the UK as far as I can see but I don't think it's much different than the others here in terms of vibration dampening. What I suspect is that even your engine looks like it's shaking all over, it's rubber mounted so there is not many vibrations transferred to the handlebars while riding. That fact plus a bit of dampening in the phone mount - it's sorting the problem out... Or you are just a lucky bastard :D Cheers mate

Pozdrowienia z Warszawy.
@UncleLongbeardАй бұрын
To jest oryginalnie zabezpieczone i jest duża szansa że w polskim klimacie wogole nie będzie z tym problemu, a nawet jak będzie to nie wcześniej niż za 10 lat... W UK jest dużo bardziej wilgotno, stąd problemy

I've been considering buying this bike but I'd like a seat like the stock one of the Honda CB900C. I'm a fan of true classic bikes. I despise the cafe racer style, especially where the seat is concerned. Ugly has never been my thing. Because of this seat, I'm still considering a 1980's original bike.

@darrylbraun8520Ай бұрын
This isn't actually a fair test of the vibration dampening. If the phone is doing it's job really well, it will compensate for the vibrations to stabilize the video, making it look like the mount dampeners are doing their job. I'd like to see a test that just measures the vibration going into the mount and the vibrations at the phone mount end. I don't know how that's done and this video does shed some light on the subject. Personally, I mounted a dampening mount and a hard mount and just touched both while riding. I couldn't detect any difference in how they felt and therefore concluded that dampening mounts are a marketing gimmick. I suspect that somewhere around 80% dampening is required to be effective, not some indiscernible amount, but I'd like to have some actual hard data to back that up.
@UncleLongbeardАй бұрын
The phone has not doing any stabilization as the phone I used for the test has no stabilisation whatsoever. Therefore it is showing how many of those vibrations are getting to the phone. So in fact those dampeners are helping in a VERY limited way.
