Is this a english language film? The special effects remind me of the Italian variety and having a black man in a main role is ahead of its time.

@@alien-goat While many folks I know disrespect these forays into Italian SC-FI, many of the miniatures' practical effects and sets were better quality for the time than some of the low A and B American movies of the same genre. Where else can you see spaghetti western actors playing astronauts and the like.

Forbidden Planet was the benchmark for space scifi in that time frame, this isnt a bad effort though.

Finally found the worst film ever made - I can die happy now. Brilliantly bad. Classically cheesy.. Ranks 0 on the "how bad can it possibly be" scale. Loved every minute of the torture.
