The server is configured to use pass-through authentication with a built-in account to access the specified physical path. However, IIS Manager cannot verify whether the built-in account has access. Make sure that the application pool identity has Read access to the physical path. If this server is joined to a domain, and the application pool identity is NetworkService or LocalSystem, verify that <domain>\<computer_name>$ has Read access to the physical path. Then test these settings again.

@@bisdakhydroponics2732 This is an IIS issue, not an issue with the certificates. It usually occurs when the application identity or authentications settings are misconfigured. I’d recommend googling about your particular IIS configuration or seek professional help. Good luck!

If I have several websites, should I do the same for the others? Because whenever i tried to add an other website, it always says : "At least one other site is using the same HTTPS binding and the binding is configured with a different certificate."

Excellent question. It sounds like you are hosting multiple IIS sites and attempting to SSL authenticate each of them. I believe you can use one certificate across multiple websites as long as Cloudflare is configured for it (ie the domains that are allowed to use the certificate). I’m not 100% sure though. If not, you can set up multiple certificates on Cloudflare and bind them to the appropriate DNS records/IP’s. That particular error sounds like an IIS error if I’m not mistaken. It sounds like you are trying to bind the same host and/or IP to multiple IIS sites. Try using different host names and IP addresses for each website.

@@sirscottshaffer Thank you for the fast reply. I created a certificate for each website, and it worked 100%! To configure this, I went to the bindings for each site, and when adding HTTPS, I made sure to check the "Require Server Name Indication" box. This allows each site to use its own certificate effectively. Your advice was spot on!

Thanks for posting this - really handy to validate before proceeding! one q - Why did you install it into the intermediate and not the trusted root?

The intermediate requires third-party validation (Cloudflare) whereas the trusted root is self-authenticating and therefore less secure. Happy I could help!

Host errors typically occur when the IIS bindings or DNS records are misconfigured. I’m not going to be much more help than that in the KZbin comments, so I’d suggest googling about the particular error message to see if you can resolve it. Good luck!
