According to the police records there is actually 3 copies of the tape. 1 owned by WWE, second the police requested a copy be made for them during the investigation and it was given to them to view, where that is now nobody knows. Lastly someone from montreol Canada had a camera and recorded it from the 8th row and had it listed on ebay auction that year. Ebay contacted the police and they were unable to contact the person and it was removed rhat year. Where that person is now, again nobody knows

All this for a stupid ass gimmick, why would they do this to begin with? The man is a Hart, talented and they got him doing stupid gimmicks and storylines towards the end of his career for no reason.

I don't understand why you'd be able to hear the noise of the fall though? They were showing a pre recorded clip so how could the viewers watching live even hear the audio from the arena? its seperate video/audio...they never pipe in the crowd noise when a video promo is playing..

I believe this is one of the rare AUTHENTIC footages of what viewers at the time would’ve seen. You wouldn’t have seen the fall. People who actually experienced this moment as it was broadcasted on that day have all described it exactly as you see it, so this is definitely the 1:1 footage. For those who really want to see his fall, there is only two copies which ever existed. No fan has ever seen it. One copy was given to his family which was destroyed. The second is on a tape, labelled “Never view, duplicate, record over or destroy”. It presumably has one or more angles of the event. These are hidden in a vault owned by WWE, kept for legal reasons, and will never see the light of day. The best you will get besides this is Spanish audio found on KZbin where you’ll hear a thud followed by the Spanish translators reacting to the scenario (original commentators are not played during promos but translators are for obvious reasons), and photos of him being treated by emergency services in the ring. Allegedly there was footage of someone who had a camcorder and showed the fall in terrible quality which was released soon after the accident, but it’s never been found, and is only a rumour.

Anyone who does even an ounce of research would know this is fake.

I find this eerie. After the impact. The promo would say "Why me". Yes later he says something along the lines of "the fans need a superhero", but it is still a little scary nontheless.

the sad but true fact is that this whole tragedy and accident could've been avoided but vince tried to save money by having it done a lot cheaper then is should've been if the people had been more experienced this might not have happened.

0:30 You can hear the impact and the rope sounding like it's about to snap. A normal bump in the ring would not be heard over a commentator's headset but the 90 foot fall, the speed he was going is what we hear. What makes it worse is where Owen landed, the board underneath the mat was broke from the impact. I'll never forget this event for the rest of my life watching from home. I could only imagine what last thoughts were going through Owen's mind and the crowds' as he fell. Jimmy Korderas heard Owen yelling at him to move so he wouldn't hurt him. Unspeakable events and for the show to go on with his blood on the mat that was never changed? Absolutely not.

This reminds me of the Chris Benoit and cm punk match they killed Owen and most likely got away with a triple murder with Chris Benoit
