Feel free to reach out if you have any CNC programing questions. I ran my own company doing 3D models and CNC programs for folks, happy to pass on any knowledge I can.

Start ordering a bunch of bits from China. You're going to break a lot of them before you learn to use it. Come to think of it, if you can peek under the cover, I'd order an extra BLDC spindle too just in case. Those are around $100

Great video as always ! Could you give me a rough estimate on how much it would cost to get a flatfloor for a 2018 STI from aluminum ?😬

YEAH now you can make wooden cars ! And i agree on the customer service :P This weekend i finished building my own for plastic bits, and the first thing "she" wanted me to print was.. a cat....
@DarthSmokealotКүн бұрын
Next thing to be 3d printed is a reducer for the vacuum hose to the pipe attachment for noise reduction maybe ? The extra airflow past the cutting tool may also help with cooling?

Now time to cry some more with all the sensors needed to fit to the vehicles to validate that the flat floor is actually working anywhere near the CFD numbers .

That's actually not nearly as expensive to do these days as it was even a decade ago, honestly. The computation is still the most expensive part.

Very very cool, I used to be a product manager for CNC machines for woodworking (SCM). My friendly advise: Put the vent for the dust extraction outside your building in a shed. Saves noise and finedust inside your workshop, and no more changing of filters and bags inside your workshop. Seems you are heading for a bigger workshop, which would be great!! *whispers* Hey Misha, I think your new cnc is almost big enough for a single piece of foam mould to produce a ground effect venturi floor for underneath the Spider.........

Also mate why don't we do donations year round and you randomly through wheel of names or something pick one car a year to overhaul for the owner? On top of that we could even do a pay for your trip coin flip too where each person gets a coin flip to pay for their trip of course the donations can pay for it? It'd be such a good thing for the community and id be happy to help with it or even sort it legally through my company if necessary. Don’t listen to the people that made you think you needed to take that page down and please put it back up. You’re a good guy and you always look out for others around you, karma works in wonderful ways and some of us want to look out for you too. It’d be a nice thing to be involved in!

Apart the aero kit, a short-shifter would be nice addition. Maybe some more aggresive cams... an airbox. Definitely a bit more camber on front axle. I wonder, if replacing spare wheel well with ribbed sheet metal will pass for street legal car. Central exhaust and blown diffuser on 2000s Polo sounds like fun.

I initially just noticed the GR in the number plate and I thought to myself, did I see this right? But, I suppose, if the car was from new in Greece, it will have very little rust, so it may be a good idea to bring it from over there and make it a project.
