This is a GREAT chair. HOWEVER.... the plans contain several errors. If you are planning on building this based on the plans, you'll need to do a lot of thinking and adjusting. I'm a visual person and as soon as I took a look at the plans, I realized a lot was wrong and I spent some time making the corrections in my head (I don't really use plans when I build but a lot of people do and these plans are unfortunately, incomplete and incorrect). I DO want to say again, that this is a great chair. It's one of my favorite designs out of like 50!

What?? So, do you recommend letting the cedar "season" before priming and finishing, after priming but before finishing, or not at all?

@WRCLA thanks for your reply. I was able to trade emails someone from Real Cedar. He was looking into it. In the meantime, I was able to find an online version of SketchUp and used the measuring tool to obtain the spacing measurements.

A lot more attention should be given to making it level. Without any torsional support on the front, even a couple degrees out of level will have it leaning downhill in the very near future.

Just found this video. Really like the flat top etc. Downloaded plans , figured how many boards to get as I am making two for my sons on Fathers Day and of coarse the cooler no longer available and that sized cooler is the key to the whole buid. Trying to find one similar but no luck. Do you gave any suggestions for a similar sized cooler out there? Thank yu so much

Hi Kelly, that Coleman cooler was 22.5 W x 11.75 D x 13.5 H(but the height includes the lid). Hope that helps. Here is the link so you can use the specs for it. www.canadiantire.ca/en/pdp/coleman-chiller-48-can-party-stacker-portable-cooler-0853415p.html

You cut down living trees, burn half of it for fuel releasing the CO2 back into the atmosphere use lots of Fossil Fuels transporting the wood. Your CO2 mitigation is a farce in the big picture. I get it, I just want to buy some.

Pivot doors’ hinges are mounted on the top and bottom side of the door, instead of on the side. The pivot door rotates on a vertical axis. A pivot doors movement is visually very different from a regular hinged door. When the hinge is placed 4“ from the side of the door, these 4“ create the pivot door’s ‘tail.’ This tail will swing inward for an outward swinging door and outward for an inward swinging door, giving it it’s unique aesthetic value and contemporary look and feel.

The author does like to from scratch, kzbin.infoUgkxbnOKZBE4evMO5V2vroHeCjq6d_MV6wJO shaping and trimming wood from large blocks into fine finished products. As another reviewer mentioned, most projects require a lot of high-dollar equipment that most of us don’t have the room or budget for. But, knowing how to do these things, even if we won’t be able to practise the full stack project, is still great.

@WRCLA Жыл бұрын
Here is the pro trip from the instructions: For all outdoor work, you should use corrosion-resistant stainless steel or hot-dipped galvanized nails. Other fasteners and hardware such as bolts, screws and hinges should also be made from similar corrosion resistant materials.
