Seems like a nice guy. BUT we have to go bankrupt to pay for essential medical devices AND his commission! Smells rotten. Who needs the middle man in medicine for goodness sakes? Are doctors too dumb to pick out stuff like knee-replacement hardware without a super salesman "helping" them choose?

Lets say you work in trauma sales. You happen to finally convince the head of trauma at your local hospital to switch to one of your devices over another device they have been using for years. Since they are not that familiar with your new device, and you are the sales rep who is supposed to know every single detail about it, you may be pulled into surgery to make sure that it is properly prepped, adjusted, inserted, and working properly before the surgery is completed.

Hi, Would you suggest after a year as an associate to try to move a different divisions or territories as a full line rep? If the product is different is that still recommend?
@hrishikmukherjee54082 жыл бұрын
Hi.. I am from India with more than 12 years experience in Medical sales. U have put it absolutely rightly. Every division of Medical sales has its own unique processes. Work life balance depends on the segment you cover. Trauma or for that matter Critical Care needs you to be ready all the time. But other Divisions don't necessarily need that

I lack a degree (still no degree) and B2B experience. I was a Service Associate for Stryker for 2 years and was just hired for a territory manager for smith and nephew. It’s how you carry yourself, do your research, dress to impress, wear a suit to interview, and most important, sale yourself and close at the end of the interview. Since I had no degree, multiple medical device companies made me do a presentation. For example, a company had me do a presentation on hussan cannulas. A company asked me, what was my weakness, I said no degree. They started laughing and simply said, if we like you we can ignore the degree and hire you. Don’t let a degree stop y’all from applying to the job you want.

Hi Chris! I have completed Master of Science in Biotechnology from India and afterwards I have 2+ years of experience as Sales Executive in medical device manufacturing Company, from India itself. Currently I am residing at Brampton. I came here as an international student and completed post graduation in Project Management. Now I am looking for a permanent job position, where I can grow professionally and personally. Can you please guide me, from where I should start now? I am new in Ontario, Canada. Your kind help will be appreciated. THANKS

Interesting topic. I was a manager for many years, interviewed tons of people. Don't overdo the small talk. You never know if the person in front of you likes it or not. Let the interviewer do the talking first. Be prepared, research the company more than the interviewer. Have concrete and specific examples to support questions, don't be vague. If you are not sure to understand the question, don't be afraid to ask for a better understanding. If you are not sure you answered correctly, ask the interviewer if you answered correctly. Smile and look confident

you are already nurse, so u know all, so no medical sales college for you, they teaches only about anatomy and all, nothing about sales, nothing about networking and nothing about how to get job
