Why couldn't he cure his own diabetes and died so young? The age of 48 is nothing.

What a strange idea! Saints don't care about their own health. They are totally focused on their contact with the Universal Being and any action to change the course of nature would be like saying: "Wait a moment, Lord, I'm going to fix a mistake you made." There are no errors in creation. Even accidents are perfectly housed in the structure of life. Narayan Sadhak Ji

@@satgurutribute7101 No its not a strange idea at all. Saints do care about the suffering of others. And healing himself would have permitted him to stay longer, reach and help more people. If he was 80 like how Nissargadatta was when he died of cancer i would agree. Nissargadatta had a long and fruitful life, having been eliberated for about 40 years and helped many by the time of his death. But Sri Rameshwar died comparatively young. So in this case I don't agree. He had had diabetes most of his life. It is not an easy disease to live with. If he would have healed himself when he reached Self-realization he could have been of greater use to those around him who also suffer from all kinds of ailments. Show them how to heal their system. I think healing is of great value. It could be argued that it was exactly this death-sentence of knowing he would die early that pushed him to discover his true Self. We can only speculate at that. "Wait a moment, Lord, I'm going to fix a mistake you made." There are no errors in creation". You are talking about the cosmos, nature and the general biology of life. Disease is not the natural course of life and nature. It shows lack of balance and resonance with nature. It shows personal limitations that manifest as disease. Disease shows a malfunction, a disorder in the balance of our microcosmos. And disease that follows a person for many years or the entire life is karmic related.

@@satgurutribute7101 Intellectually I know you probably are correct. But still. He had many disciples. He could have helped them, and others so much more had he prolonged his life with 30-40 years.

We all trying to get back to Ram. Even the disease is trying in its own way that we will judge as degraded. The moment we separated from Ram all this trouble started. But the good news is we will return to him. Ram will leave us to play, but when we call He will answer. I digress from the actual question though 😂 yes as the author states the Saint was not his body or mind as it appeared to us. Literally. It was a temporary vessel in this material energy through which the divinity of Ram could shine for a brief few years ..as you say touching so few. And yet...here we all are

The one who is turiyatita is the only one, who can honestly say ''throw away all other forms of sadhana and concentrate on the atman'', for this ultimate sadhak really, nothing is greater. However, as paramhamsa Ramakrishna has showed with His luminous example, nirguna brahman is saguna brahman without any difference. Maa Kaali is brahman. Totapuri has merits as the guru who lead thakur beyond the constraints of the vyakta aspect, yet He himself had become Ramakrishna's disciple to learn the fullness of the brahman, the consummation of the highest realization. Let's not kid ourselves, advaita is for very few, because people do get enchanted by the 'phenomena' and constantly forget about the 'basic space'. We should all start with bhakti and worship - purely just focusing on atmavichara works, but we have to sincerely dicover the authentic advaitin way of doing atmavichara so it awakens shakti itself. --- otherwise, it is incomplete.
