What a great list!!! I love The Hill of Dreams and it's the first time I ever hear it mentioned on booktube! I really need to read more of Machen because of it, I have his story Great God Pan in one of my short story collections. I have on my shelves The Gods of Pegana and The Purple Cloud to read, they both sound fascinating. Wind in the Willows is just wonderful. E. M. Forster is one of my faves <3

"Do one thing for me, Sredni Vashtar." Don't forget my favorite Edwardian, H.H. Munro. Among other works, his short story collections are available on Project Gutenberg under his pen name of Saki. The Chronicles of Clovis and Beasts and Super-Beasts feature many of his famous macabre short stories, while Reginald, Reginald in Russia (short story collections) and the novel The Unbearable Bassington are satires on Edwardian life and society.
