I do believe for a Plymouth, it's called In Violet, not Plum Crazy.
@71plymouth.9 жыл бұрын
right the plum crazy was a shade or two lighter if im not mistaken
@leonid44689 жыл бұрын
Aziz Lamar They are both actually the same exact color code, FC7, in both years it was offered, 1970 and 1971. Plymouth and Dodge shared identical High-Impact colors and color codes, but gave them different names for each brand. For example, Moulin Rouge for a Plymouth was Panther Pink on a Dodge, but both were code FM3. While we're on the subject of those particular colors, here's an additional fun fact: Panther Pink/Moulin Rouge was initially offered as a spring color only during 1970, and then only by special order during 1971, which is why they are an exceedingly rare find. Would love something like a 71 GTX in either that color or Lime Light to go with the one I already have, a 70 GTX 440, which also happens to be In Violet, with a Dana 60 Sure-Grip 3.54 4-speed and an Air Grabber.

Leonid Q right I knew they were the same color but wasn't sure if the same shade or not. Do you know something about the Bahama Yellow. That is what is on my 71 Plymouth Satellite Sebring Thanks.
@leonid44689 жыл бұрын
Sweet ride! Yeah, the color naming schemes cause a lot of confusion. Even the guy at the dealer I bought mine from thought it was Plum Crazy. I know that Bahama Yellow, also known as Butterscotch for Dodge, was a High Impact color, code EL5, offered from 1969-1971.

But the 440 was a complete animal when you needed it to be, but just as drivable as the 340 if you don't put your foot down.

Hi all, I'm Sarge. I have a 71 Charger that I have owned since 1985, not so nice as this, but it does have a 383HP. When I got back from Iraq in 07, and went to get my Chargey out of storage and started her up, my Lieutenant said to me..."Sargeant Yarbough...let me guess...when you die and go to heaven, you want to go THROUGH the hole you made in the ozone, don't you?? I said, Sir...you bet yer fuckin ass I do... then we both laughed our asses off!!! Good times...

lemme guess, headers, and they drag. god man loose the freakin headers and tweak the torsion bars down. thats some hillbilly shit. some new 15x8 magnums with 255 60 radials all the way around. buy some 15x8 corvette ralley wheel trim rings to give those new magnums the correct 71 look. cheap bastard, that cars to sweet to half ass the final product. wouldnt you want someone to tell you your flys open and people are laughing behind your back?!

when your 5 and your first notice of mopars was watching wing cars on nascar, then you step on a dealers lot and see a new 71 charger rt with all the stripes and flowing lines. a peak inside and theres that big ass pistol grip. the stranger taking it for a test drive made sure to open the hood scoop while he idled off b4 my wide eyes. i was mopar hooked!! i can still hear that 6 pak opening and the polys frying. thanks mister, whoever u are.

@dodge69874 It's cool. I'm just clarifying. I love full size muscle cars, but pony cars are my main interest. Although the challenger was a great car, Plymouth was king of the big bodies. The road runner, the barricuda, the hemi cuda, the gtx, and a few others I can't think of right now.
@dodge6987413 жыл бұрын
@marriedncute Yeah, I was just saying that it's big like it's supposed to be. Big American car + Big block V8 = Muscle Car.
@marriedncute13 жыл бұрын
@dodge69874 Pony cars are muscle cars too. They are just a selected class of muscle cars. They still share the made in America brand though.
